We randomly came across the Trolley Car Cafe. We ordered the cinnamon raisin French toast and the cinnamon bun breakfast sandwich with bacon, scrambled eggs, and homefries. The orange juice was also made fresh. The service was quick and the host was really nice. We will definitely return! Hopefully we will be able to dine in next time.
Not good food and way over priced. How do you sell eggs benedict and charge 2 bucks for the ham? Or how do you sell a sausage egg and cheese but the only option is turkey sausage? The food barely had flavor and for 3 people we paid over a $100 for breakfast? At least they were clean and had a good covid protocols with sanitation stations for the outdoor dining. Not worth the risk. Would have been 1 star but they were on top of the Covid-19 stuff. No good.
This place has potential. It's a beautiful space, the customers were chill - what messes it up? The poor quality service and the basic quality of food served. The food looks nice, but bland in taste. It took so long to get breakfast food. Like, breakfast food shouldn't take as long as it did. Took about 30 minutes to get our order taken, and about 40 minutes to get our food. The staff was sitting down at a table when we arrived, they looked sloppy, didn't introduce themselves, and when asked about the food the response was "I'm just a server." Again, it has potential. If they get better staff, and a better cook, it's a dope spot. The only reason it gets a 3 star - it's a beautiful spot.
This is a great place with excellent staff. My husband and I came today with my husband, and we brought our dog. The staff unfortunately said they weren't serving outside, but allowed us to order "take out" and sit outside anyway. It was a wonderful experience and great food!
Delish food! Went for breakfast and enjoyed well prepared dishes...finally found Chicken and Waffles. Their waffles are large and fluffy. A number of breakfast bowls
I came here twice on a Saturday around 9am. The first time, my party was immediately seated and waited on. The food was slow, it took approximately 45-minutes to receive. However, everything we ate was hot and deliciously. The second time, we were told that 5 separate parties arrived at the same time, so we would have to wait 10-minutes to be seated I presume to not bombard the kitchen. Once again, once seated and after ordering our meals, we had to wait approximately 45-minutes to receive our meals. My cinnamon bun breakfast sandwich and potatoes were cold, while my sister’s catfish and waffles were steaming hot. I didn’t bother to send the food back, due to the wait time to receive it initially. Pros: Friendly staff, delicious food, reasonably priced Cons: Sometime cold food, slow kitchen, chalky smoothies
There were so many good options on the menu. I decided to go with the the Cinn-a-Bun sandwich and it did not disappoint. I’ll definitely need to go back and try more of the menu. The Breakfast Gumbo at a near by table looked pretty good.
Great food, reasonable prices. Cute and comfy little place, with very friendly staff. Very honest about the menu which made me very happy and helped steer me to something I enjoyed.
Delicious. Quiet. Classic. Just enjoy the moment. Try French toast and roasted potatoes with any order!
I love this place. They did recent renovations that really improved the dining experience here. I wish I remembered what they wrap was called btlut it was some kind of scrapple egg and cheese wrap. It was delicious. Definitely will get it again.
