Bought an alternator in 2015 and could not find the receipt when their alternator broke and left me stranded in 2017. No warranty without receipt. I found the receipt and now they "Tony Carrizales" states that since a team member bought the alternator, they won't warranty it. Poor customer service. I was out of town when my wife's friend bought the alternator. The manager at the store also signed off on the purchase. Filed complaint with BBB.

I purchased a truck battery from a store in my town, well 4months later the battery went bad. I then went to the store to swap it out using my warranty and they did not have my info in there system. I called Orileys Corporate, he was able to look up my battery transaction, he said it looks like they didn’t take my information so he provided me with the receipt invoice and told me to give them that number and it will bring up my warranty. They were super nice and I was almost shocked how hassle free the call was.

I go to the O'Reilly store on Van Born Road in Dearborn Heights Michigan.. The manager there always seems to know what it is I need and is quick to see that I get it. I am given the options on prices and warranty's available with no hard sell to upgrade. I believe his name is Dan and he has always been professional and polite.

Horrible service. Order parts for delivery they don't bother t call r show up with the order submitted. How can a business run by irresponsible people provide service to other business?

I have never had a worse experience with an auto parts store. I went to the O'Reilly Auto Parts on Laguna Blvd in Elk Grove CA to purchase wiper blades. I bought one for the passenger side of my SUV and one for the rear window. I went home to replace the blades and had no issue with the passenger side blade. The rear, however, did not fit in the wiper arm so I returned to the store. The young man that I returned the blade to insisted that it was the correct blade (as there was only one in their system for my vehicle). He proceeded to tell me that it was just hard to clip on and that I needed to work at it because he had replaced a similar blade before and it had taken him 20 minutes. He told me "you just need to push hard, it will snap in". I immediately went back to my car in the parking lot land tried again. By "pushing hard" as the persistent store clerk suggested, the clips that hold the wiper blade on broke off the wiper arm. When I confronted both he and his co-worker, they assured me that it was the right blade because their system said so. They both went out to look at the wiper arm (which is now broken) and determined that indeed that wiper blade would never fit. When I suggested they replace my wiper arm, they through up their hands and said "we're not liable" and refused to accept any responsibility. I was provided the phone number of the store assistant manager and the regional manager for O'Reilly Auto Parts. I called the assistant manager who referred me to the regional manager. I have called 4 times to speak with the Regional Manager who is never available and does not return my calls. I WILL NEVER SHOP AT ONE OF THESE STORES. They have no concern for customers, only for making a buck off anyone they can take advantage of!!
