Really enjoyed the experience. I ordered the short rib but did not really enjoy it. The pork belly was amazing! The ambience is good and the staff are polite and helpful. The space is pretty tight but hopefully there are places to keep items in front if you are coming from shopping around Time Square.
What a pleasant experience- randomly went here to meet up with friends— will definitely be going back. The green curry was delicious and had the perfect amount of spice. The pad Thai is perhaps the best I have ever had, the dumplings and crunchy spring rolls are a must, the papaya salad was on point and the service was friendly and extremely fast. Everything we ordered was just lovely- The restaurant was a bit crowded- however I suppose that’s a good sign.
Great food fast. The food and drinks were well made and came out very quickly. The music was lively and the setting was nice. I wanted to give it 5 stars but it was a little dirty, dusty and worn. Great spot for a quick bite.
Fabulous Atmosphere! The spacing between tables is also reasonable and you don't feel uncomfortable or cramped. The food selection is ample and they have so many good dishes to try. The service was awesome and the food was prepared quite quickly! For food, I'd recommend the egg rolls, short ribs, duck noodles and green curry. They do have many more dishes I've yet to try, but definitely will be coming back
They got us in and out quickly for a last minute reservation. The kimchi fries were very good and I loved the decor. All around great ambiance. The other dishes were above average but nothing to write home about. Glad I tried it but wouldn't again.
Dine out here with mother in law. We enjoyed the lunch here. Walkable distance from Broadway Theaters. Definitely a great choice to get filled before going for a Broadway show. Our favorite was the drunken noodles. It was so delicious with light spicy and sweet flavor. I highly recommend and will visit back again.Recommended dishesMushroom Dumplings, Lobster Pad Thai Gluten Free
Really cute atmosphere with amazing food! Try to save room for dessert, which is great too! I’d definitely go back to try the other things on their menu. The service was quick and the food was great - what more could you ask for?Recommended dishesSteamed Dumplings, Roasted Duck Noodles
Loved our visit to Obao - we went to grab a dinner before our Broadway show and had a great time. The food is excellent, the service is super efficient, the ambience is beautiful, and it offers incredible value for money. We ordered the Mushroom Dumplings, Vegan Pad Thai noodles, and the Vegan Green Curry, and the vegan Drunken Noodles Vegetarian options: Lots of vegan/vegetarian options! I'm not a big fan of Asian food but loved my meal here! The interior is cool and unique. My friend and I came here Saturday and didn't make reservations but were seated quickly, it did get busier and there's not a ton of room inside of outside after 6 so I recommend making reservations. Our waiter immediately served us and the food and drinks came out at lightening speed! My friend got the dumpling appetizer which was amazing and super fresh! I got the pad Thai with shrimp which lived up to its great reviews, although I think the shrimp was a little over cooked. I got the Flunk Flink drink which was delicious! The portions were big and the prices are awesome for the area! It's in a great location, right off time square and walkable to Empire State Building!
The best restaurant we found in NYC! I couldn’t recommend this place enough, we even came here twice during our short vacation from England. The food is the best I’ve had and competes with food in Thailand, the cocktails are great and work well with the food; and the service was exceptional both times. Go there. You won’t be disappointed.
