Really delicious food! Very well balanced, tasty without being too rich. Great pickled vegetables. Really friendly staff. Nice restaurant, larger than their sister branch. Would highly recommend. The tamarind chicken and ginger braised beef were fantastic, as was the pumpkin dish.
Greatest Thai food I’ve had in the city in a while, however a bit pricey. When they mean spicy, they really do bring the heat! However the spice was personally very welcome and real they have great side pickles too on the table to help settle down the heat. Super crowded during dinner so make sure to plan for that.
Authentic eating environment with country style food. Love that you can mix and match which allows you to try a lot of different dishes. Most dishes was tasty and at a reasonable price. Good portion, I was full at the end. Excellent customer service. Only one drawback. Sticky rice desert was $12. I think that’s way overpriced. It should be $8.
Thai Country cooking! Delicious! Staff is super friendly, my waiter Pete was just lovely, food was amazing, we had the pick 2 and got the red rice. Not overpriced. I’m not a fan of Hell’s Kitchen area but for this restaurant and the food I will go back a thousand time! 100 % recommended!
Mice clean Thai restaurant, friendly staff and a simple menu. I am not an expert on Thai food but I would say it's very authentic. They have good serving size and if you are going with a few people all can share dishes. I felt lunch menu is a little on the high side with $16 for 2 so you are looking at approx $22 for lunch including tax and tip. They don't have wok's so no Pad Thai! Seating was more of a bench style so you won't be staying too long. All in all, if you like Thai food and want authentic experience, give this place a shot.
I went there yesterday for dinner with bunch of my friends.Ambience of the restaurant is amazing. They serve you traditional Thai food, the one which you don't find in many thai places. The food is mind-blowing. They have a prefix menu of 2 dishes for $22. Food comes in small quantities, so each person can easily finish a dish. I would definitely recommend this restaurant if you are looking something for aunthentic Thai food and cozy ambience.
Friendly service and delicious authentic Thai food set in a laid back and spacious space. Turmeric curry chicken was a standout but everything was delicious. Try the drink with the pandan and raisins - so good! Servers checked in on us multiple times but were not intrusive. Perfect spot to share some food with friends and catch up. Can't wait to go back and try more dishes soon.
Three friends and I came in at around 6:30 on a Thursday, and it started getting packed shortly after. I really liked the idea of picking two plates for $20 and sharing everything family style. The plates are small - kind of like a Thai version of tapas, but they give each person a massive amount of rice - so that's what really fills you up. For each two plates, you get a choice of Jasmine rice, or organic red rice. Here is everything we ordered: Crabmeat Tom Turmeric lemongrass, galangal, fresh thai chili, cha-om, coconut milk - this was my favorite. Chunks of crabmeat in a coconutty/lemongrassy sauce. Perfect over rice. Shrimp and Calamari Tom Yum Soup lemongrass, oyster mushroom, thai chili, galangal, lime juice - this was my next fave. Even though the seafood in it was only okay, the broth was amazing. It wasn't the orangey-red tom yum I was expecting but it was really good even though it was a little cold. Turmeric Curry Chicken cipollini onion, coconut milk - the chicken was a little bit dry but the sauce was amazing Basil beef chili, garlic, snap pea, holy basil sauce - this one was kind of meh. The beef quality was comparable to Chinese takeout quality, but again the sauce was really good. If it's one thing they know how to do here, it's the sauces. Just be careful with the chilis though because those are deathly. It's not spicy when you first eat it but it hits you later. Stir-fried water spinach thai chili, garlic, fish sauce - nothing amazing but we wanted some veggies Morning Glory - this tasted pretty similar to the water spinach, but again - nice to have some greens Ginger-braised short rib peanut, ginger, sweet soy, tamarind garlic sauce - a little dry but the flavor was good Fried Whole Butterfish crispy whole fish, toasted rice tamarind sauce - I don't like picking out bones, but I did like this fish - especially with the toasted rice tamarind sauce. So much so, that I used it on some of the other dishes too. If you don't want to do family style, they also offer a regular-sized version of all the dishes. Don't forget to try the chili fish sauce. I don't think I met one single sauce here that I did not like. Bottom line - don't come if you're looking for some Pad Thai. Do come if you're looking for some authentic Thai and super spicy food, and amazing sauces. I wonder how many times I mentioned sauce in this review? Tip - skip the cheap wine
Lively Thai restaurant addition focusing on more traditional Thai dishes. Pick two dishes from the plentiful menu, which come with rice, for the price of $16 or $18. Food comes out fresh, delicious, and flavorful! Hospitality and service are beyond exceptional, with staff checking in frequently throughout the meal, filling up my glass. I had questions about the menu, and business hours, and all staff were patient and gracious to answer in detail. Hands down! A fabulous experience!
The moment I tasted the food, I got the feeling it had a homemade touch. This shared bench seating with a blend of broth and solid dishes brings out all the flavors and aromas of authentic Thai cuisine. The restaurant is also one of the few Thai spots on the west side to serve their thai iced tea without cream.
