At last I am writing to share the absolutely wonderful experience we had with this caterer. In July we hosted as retirement party. Every detail was attended to with care and precision. Our event was held on the day of a major outdoor event nearby, blocking streets leading to the Heritage Room at Capitol Lake. The event planner put our traffic directional signs and personally acted as traffic monitor. The food was terrific; guests repeatedly commented on both its presentation and taste. Servers and bartender were excellent. Truly knew their jobs, and were gracious with guests. We wanted music and all we had to do was bring ipod and they handled the rest. Microphones provided so everyone could hear speeches. Picture frames provided when I couldn't get mine to stand up! In all honesty, I couldn't offer a single suggestion to this company to have made the event any better. I would hire them again in a heartbeat. You won't be sorry if you select them.

5/5 Stars: Good Food, Superior Service "Occasions Catering was more than I could have hoped for, and much more than I expected. They catered our wedding, a first for us, and I didn't know what to expect. Because I didn't have a wedding coordinator, and after all the details Karla and I discussed, I thought for sure I was going to have to coordinate and watch the kitchen out of the corner of my eye the entire wedding. It was absolutely not so! Karla's event manager, Denise, was wonderful; she had every detail covered. The Food: We went to an Occasions tasting and the food preparation and taste was great. And although we ordered a traditional Italian spread buffet style,we didn't get to try it at the tasting, and for the low price they offered, the quality was still what I wanted! I'm Italian and even I was impressed. The Service: Without a doubt, perfect: all of her staff we polite, helpful and even kind: everyone I met was genuinely happy to help. For the short amount of staff I ordered (1 manager, 2 servers for 120 people), I assumed they would not be particularly congenial, but they were! What really sealed the experience and my opinion was when Denise politely waited for me and caught me long enough to tell me she had saved the top of the cake for Jim and I, as well as our cake topper in the fridge. And then handed me a sweet little gift box from the company. It was a mini pick nick for two! Even after I asked for a super - lean, budget deal on the food and service. I was worry free that day (at least concerning the catering), and Karla and her wonderful staff have my sincerest thanks and gratitude." ~ Bonnie E. Farley

We were extremely pleased with the level of service we received from Occasions Catering when we held our wedding reception at the Heritage Room in Olympia. Our guests raved about the food, and the staff was very friendly and easy to work with throughout the evening. Everything was handled in a very professional manner, with our wants/needs for our reception being the main consideration. Even though there was one linen-related discrepancy on the day of setup, I have still awarded Occasions 5 stars, because it was quickly and respectfully handled with no back-and-forth whatsoever, and the final product was exactly as intended. Karla and her staff made planning and carrying out our big day as pleasant and perfect as we we could have hoped for, and I would not hesitate to recommend them to future brides.
