Octopus Japanese Restaurant

Hands down the best discount sushi place I've ever been to. As long as you don't go in expecting extremely high-quality Sushi you will leave it very very satisfied. It's my go-to place when me and some friends just want some quick cheap sushi where we don't have to spend a lot of money to get something really great. Make sure to go after 9:30 p.m. if you can there happy hour makes the prices even better. Their sides are great too, definitely on par with most other Japanese restaurants. I don't usually get the entrees, just sushi, so I can't really comment on those.

This is smaller than the one in Glendale. Staff are friendly and helpful. Sushi is prepared in a timely manner and tastes good. This is my first time to sit on the bar at Octopus. It was fun and an eye opener. You will see how your sushi is made and that there is a chance that we, sushi lovers, may ingest a small amount of plastic when we eat it as the sushi preparer covers it with plastic, cut it through the plastic and disposes the plastic after that. I believe this happens in other sushi restaurants, as well. Anyway, this has adequate parking space but you may have to wait for your turn to be seated especially during peak hours.

I love going here. They have a great happy hour every night from like 8:30 to close and the vibes are always good. Nice ambience, lighting and good service. The quality of the sushi isn't going to blow you away if you're a sushi fan, but when you want to grab a few basic rolls or nigiri for $20 and enjoy a nice atmosphere this is a great spot.

Food is fantastic staffs are very attentive and polite. Very good family atmosphere. I always look forward to going there.

First time going there....and also awhile since I ate sushi...the best place ever. Good choices of drinks, especially the mango-tini. Very good. Had me stuffed... definitely going there again. 😁
