My husband, Dennis Pelzer, has had bilateral hip replacements done by Dr John Yocum at Baptist Medical Center. The procedures were done 5 years a part. We have been very pleased with the results. The day after surgery Dennis was able to walk to the Rehabilitation area with use of a walker. Was able to do all the exercises as required that first day. He had no pain from the hip and the local anesthetic injected into the soft tissue surrounding the incision prevented any severe surgical pain. On April 20, 2016 the 2nd surgery was completed and Dennis was released to home on 22nd of April. He was able to do nearly of his personal care as soon as Dr's orders allowed. He had no follow up infection, either time and has recovered without difficulty.
