Orvis-Hunting Creek Outfitters

I am new to fly fishing, these folks are very nice people willing to help. Murray and Brian give great advice. I shop there, feel confident they aren't going to take advantage of my inexperience and try to sell sell sell. Will be taking the all day fly fishing training class next month. Took a one hour free class somewhere else prior, nothing great and struggled with the backcast (unnecessarily). Yeah they sell Orvis... and Simms, Sage, Redington, Patagonia... etc. A large selection of rods, reels, waders, flies, leaders, tippet, tools. My local go to store...

Great place to stop by when visiting Frederick Maryland. The shop was well-organized with a friendly staff. I picked up a couple cool flies and a really cool sticker for my tackle box. If you're into fly fishing make sure to stop by Orvis.

This is a serious fly shop owned and operated by people that are passionate about fly fishing. If you are new to the game they will help you with everything you need from gear to advice and if you're an old salt they will stand around and talk fishing with you for an hour. Highly recommended
