Hands down best breakfast in Portland, ME. The Baklava cinnamon roll was a daily special, and the best cinnamon roll I’ve ever had. The pancakes are huge and perfect. Served with citrus butter and fresh fruit which really takes them to the next level. The hash browns are like giant tater tots. Big balls of shredded potatoes fried up with perfect golden brown crust. Every time I’ve been in, the owner has been running the FOH, and the service has been exceptional. If you haven’t tried this place yet, you are definitely missing out. All fresh ingredients which really does make a huge difference. They also have delicious local coffee from Coffee by design and amazing orange juice. It is a clean open kitchen with employees that obviously take pride in what they do. Do yourself a favor and try them out. Support local businesses, and if you’re looking for an amazing Italian sub, I highly recommend their other restaurant, the other side deli. Last but not least, the music and environment are perfect. Just be patient, they can get rather busy at certain times, but it will be worth the wait! Kudos to a great business that takes pride in quality and does things right!! That you OSD!!!
Delicious! Took one look at the menu and knew what I would get. The pancakes are incredible, fluffy with a hint of lemon. If you like palace diner pancakes, these are on par if not better. The only downside was the wait for the food after ordering, or it could have been the hunger talking
finally checked this spot out on a snowy morning and so glad i did! biscuits were dense and slightly sweet, which made an excellent compliment to the not-too-heavy gravy, plus a generous amount of sausage. over-medium eggs were actually cooked over-medium — always a great sign. service was speedy and friendly. between the music selection, ambience, and attention given to the ingredients, this feels like a refreshing departure from the old school diners we all know and love without going too far off the beaten path. my only complaint is the menu being somewhat limited, but what can you do in these times. overall: classic, quality diner fare with a welcome, hip flavor. will be back soon!
Service wasn't too bad. I had the regular breakfast. I asked for over medium and the eggs were basically cooked through. The scrapple was cut extremely thick and fried which isn't the best way to eat it. The hash browns were unique and very good. The toast was hard and not very tasty. Little expensive for the quality of food.
Really good, diner places usually have either good eggs but bad fries Vice versa, but everything was super good here breakfast-wise HAVENT tried other. The pancakes had an apple taste, so if you don’t like that you probably won’t like them. The portions are okay for the price not the best. Would be a 5 if it was cheaper
On our trip from California to Portland we tried a few breakfast joints but none compare to this place. The food and service were so amazing. I would 100% recommend this place to anyone and everyone. I ended up ordering the breakfast bagel with their feta cream cheese and it was bomb! Heather was our server and she was wonderful. She was super nice and friendly. I can't get over how awesome this place is. Thanks for the great service and the yummy food!
Insanely small menu done very average. Portland has so many other options. My spinach and cheddar omelet was $15 and $4.50 for an iced coffee. The food had very little flavor. The service was super nice. Attentive, friendly waitresses. Not worth the stop.
Excellent breakfast option in Portland with an easily accessible location. Compact menu full of interesting, well prepared items. Good music, good coffee and a pleasant vibe. A great breakfast alternative not far from the madding crowd.
HIDDEN GEM. A few minutes outside the heart of Portland, this is one breakfast place you do not want to miss. The small and well crafted menu truly shows that they value quality over quantity. The Pork-belly Eggs Benedict is to die for. Great portions and such a unique way to serve hash browns. Shoutout to the cook, Nick. He was all by himself due to staff shortage but still delivered all of the food in a timely manner. Our server Heather was very polite and didn’t mind conversing with us.
Pork belly grill cheese and fries were really good.
