Great for Thru-Hikers. They gave me free Clif Bars, which is basically currency. The staff is 5 stars fun and helpful, too.

Great Place in every way, all the attention on Owen Turner in these reviews is well deserved. He tried on a jacket and poured scolding coffee on himself to highlight the waterproofing of a jacket I was looking at, and then juggled four comically large camping machetes to show how well balanced they are. I don't know if he lives here or something, but Owen is always at the store, and is my new favorite Clown College drop out.

I love this store! I bought every member of my family a pair of boots. Owen was the sales representative---and was so helpful!! he wears the same size as my son so he tried the boots on and ran around the store in them. So amazing!!

Camping gear, equipment, clothing all good brands to choose from! Easy access, nearby grocery and coffee shop and nearby Appalachian Trail! One best when comes to best in camping/and accessories!!

Very small place and horrible customer service. Owen, to be specific, was terrible. We spent a few hours and a few hundred dollars upgrading some gear (we didn't find out just how awful the customer service was until the next day or we wouldn't have bought anything at all from them). Found a pair of shoes on clearance right before the store closed and decided to grab them. I figured if they didn't fit the next morning then I'd just return them. They hurt my feet when I went to put them on in the hotel room so we proceeded to take them back. Was told at that point that clearance items are store credit only. This was not told to us the previous day, nor was it posted anywhere in the store. We asked if he could apply the credit to something we had already bought since we spent so much and had already bought everything we needed. He simply said,very rudely, 'No'. Then we asked if there was anything else he could do for us and he said there was nothing he could do. We regret spending a dime there. I now have a pair of shoes that hurt my feet. The name on our first receipt was Owen and on our second receipt it was Bo, however it was the same guy helping us both days. I would suggest skipping this outfitters. Especially if you're thru hiking.
