The place was beautiful - we just came at a time when they decided to do an update on the grounds. The big section closed off, and working on it. We still were able to visit a lot of the beautiful flowers and trees. So peaceful here, even though, it was a windy day so, we didn't stay too long. They also have artwork for sale in the office. Don't forget to donate as they need this to keep up the grounds.
What a beautiful place to take a stroll and enjoy some time with your loved ones. There are plenty of chairs and benches all around the park area to sit down and have picnics or relax. The enclosed Children's area with the splash pad is particularly fun and super cute. There's a merry go round next to the Children's okay are as well. When we went, the Crystal Bridge Conservatory was closed for construction so we didn't get to see any of it. However, there was plenty to explore and enjoy around the botanical gardens. Tips: it seems the homeless come bathe and cool down at the splash pad, though they didn't seem threatening and kept their distance from the kids, that's something to look out for.
Every time we go it looks absolutely beautiful! Can’t wait until they are finished renovating. It is a great place to take the family or go by yourself to go for a walk through some truly beautiful Gardens. The location is easy to get to and the parking is fair priced. There are also electric scooters and bikes available to ride in the area. There is a children’s area and during the summer there’s also a waterpark. The merry go round and snack shack or in that same area.
Even though the green house is under construction and reopening by Fall 2022, the rest of the garden is still a fantastic space for strolls. There are sufficient shaded areas with benches if you are needing to simply sit and enjoy the greenery surrounding you. There are a couple of splash pads for young and old to cool off in the heat of summer. The streetcar stop is also nearby if you want a ride to Midtown or Bricktown. Tickets can be bought at a kiosk $1-$3 per adult. Playground: The water park is a refreshing spot for young and old in the heat of summer. Dog-friendliness: The area is spaced out well with shaded spaces for dog owners to enjoy a stroll.
Such an amazing place. Perfect place to bring family if they’re visiting from out of town and enjoy the outdoors. Park was absolutely stunning and also a great place to work out if you live in Oklahoma City and wanted to run up some stairs or just have some views during your run. Right in the heart of downtown.
COME COME COME! Beautiful. Spacious. Warm. And colorful! Bring your kids, come with your partner, or your friends! It’s affordable and very peaceful to walk through. Plenty to see, smell, and touch! My favorite addition are these pipes across the garden that you can smell of the plants next to it. Definitely worth the wait of the recent remodel. Make this a date night! Staff is very kind, gift shop is also really cute with lots of work from local artist and businesses.
Got to walk through the Botanical Gardens for the first time since they updated the interior. As usual this is a wonderful experience for the senses. The sounds, colors, and smells make you feel so close to nature in such a comfortable way. As you enter from the Air Conditioned lobby into this warm tropical oasis you are greeted with so many great experiences. Enjoy!
Beautiful memories here and almost always a great experience! We love the beauty and art mixed with nature. Often great activities and fun for the kids and usually a peaceful atmosphere for all of us. I have been taking pictures of my family here for years.
Oh my goodness! I enjoyed this place so much! We will be back tomorrow, it had just closed when we got there so we didn’t get to walk the inside part but the outside was stunning! The life happening, the squirrels were so playful and fun to watch! There were all kinds of birds, and the fish, omg playful too! I really would recommend if you’re there! They were having a movie in the park tonight! It is all free! Carousel, water play area, and lots of places to “cop a squat.”
I visited the Crystal Bridge after the recent renovation. Although it's a nice enough place to visit, I was somewhat disappointed that you can no longer walk behind the waterfall. I did, however, get to see an actual bunch of bananas growing on a tree. There was also a pineapple plant -- with pineapples! I particularly enjoyed the succulent area on the second level. There are several signs with facts about many of the plants throughout the entire collection. The coat rack in the lobby is especially convenient, as it is toasty warm inside the tube, and you won't want to be carrying a coat or jacket throughout your visit. Plan on spending a couple hours to see everything on all levels.
