This was our worst experience in Salt Lake City. The service at this location is terrible. We ordered two croissants and the guy at the cashier asked if we want them warmed up, we said yes, and he put them in the microwave, and completely forgot about them. In ten minutes or so we reminded him, and he brought them, actually throwing them at the table. Those ham and cheese croissants were, of course, cold and even somewhat stale. Gunpowder tea was just basic green tea. Macchiato coffee was okay though. This place has an awful price to quality ratio.
The inside is very cute and has a lot of seating. I really enjoy their coffees and teas. The best part is that they make all their syrup flavors in house, and they are amazing!
We recently ordered our wedding cake from Passion Flour because my husband is allergic to dairy. The tasting / design process was super fun, and our cake turned out exactly how we envisioned it. Plus it tasted amazing, and it was a relief to know that it was completely safe for my husband to eat. They also delivered it to Park City, which was a great bonus.
First time here, the atmosphere is very nice and sort of cozy, the guy was very easy to work with and his service was good. Coffee is pretty good here and the vegan pastries are great for kids with allergies. Reason for a 4 star is the lady that was there, she was very cold towards our kids and not kind whatsoever.
Every time I crave vegan desserts, I come to passion flour! My favorite is the almond croissant and the pop tarts. For this trip, we got the muddy chocolate cupcake, lemon tart, almond croissant, and the snickerdoodle cookie. We also got some coffee! It’s a nice place to sit and enjoy some pastries. Only reason I am giving it 4 stars is the price and their food menu, it’s alright. Come for the pastries!
The Raspberry Pop-Tart was delicious. I am a big fan of pie crust and this was perfect. I wouldn't mind more filling and the icing brought the right amount of sweetness. The Carrot Cupcake was very good! The frosting was a little salty but it worked well. The cake was soft and fresh. The fruit tart was ok. If you love dark chocolate in your fruit tart, you'll like it. I thought the pastry cream needed vanilla vanilla bean!, and way less dark chocolate. I know the chocolate is there to keep the shell from getting soggy, but overpowered the fruit and pastry cream. The shell was so hard that i couldn't cut through it easily with a fork. The service was great! Overall, I would visit again!
Such a cute cafe with a great vibe that’s 100% vegan!! I was so excited when I found out about this place. The pastries are to die for and the food was delicious. Service was also wonderful. Can’t wait to come again!
Cutest little spot! Comfy and relaxing atmosphere. Great coffee and plant-based options. Customer service was great. Loved and definitely would recommend.
I would’ve given them 1 star but the look of the shop is cute. I ordered the chai and I got milk. There was no chai flavor. With the option of only 2 kinds of milk, oat and soy maybe the oat isn’t the milk for the chai. It just overtook my drink. This was the most expensive chai I’ve ever paid for too and the worst drink. Next time I should just order a pastry and not a drink. It’ll probably be a better use of my money.
I was extremely excited about this amazing plant-based bakery when I first heard of it - it is a wonderful concept and I’m grateful it exists. My experiences there were not the best in terms of customer service. I have visited a handful of times now and the service has been consistent; folks behind the counter seemed disinterested in answering my questions or helping me out and far more interested in the conversations they were having with each other. If this had happened once, that would be understandable, but every time? It was disappointing. I’ve been in customer service the restaurant industry to be specific for over 10 years—I would be frustrated if my coworkers treated customers this way. Perhaps this is simply my high standard or perspective. Don’t let it stop you from trying it out yourself—my goal here is feedback. The food was good enough - plant-based pastries are not easy. They were also understandably priced on the high end. Overall, I want to give this place my business, but I want the entire experience to be enjoyable and not to feel like I am a nuisance to the staff when I’m only there for a few minutes.
