My husband and I have been renting a house from Patton Properties for the last 3 years. We moved because we recently purchased our first home. I just want to say that anytime we had a maintenance issue, they responded swiftly no later than 24 hours to resolve the problem. For those that are saying PP is racist, that is furthest from the truth. My husband and I are both African American. They expect you to pay your rent on time just like any other property owner would. And YES, they are going to do a background check to make sure they are not renting to people who will destroy their properties, or have a history of evictions. It does not matter if you can pay your rent out for the whole year or not. If you have a terrible rental history NO ONE is going to rent to you, that's just the bottom line. To those people complaining: GET YOUR ISH TOGETHER AND STOP BLAMING OTHER PEOPLE BECAUSE YOU HAVE BEEN IRRESPONSIBLE WITH HANDLING YOUR BUSINESS! These are good people to rent from.
The only good reviews are from people who are connected to Patton Properties. Look into the "good reviewers". One click on Cola Capital and you will figure out why they are giving 5 stars. The truth is much different than what they say. My good friend has been dealing with plumbing issues, AC issues, and a stove issues throughout his time there. They take nearly no ownership for the things that are wrong with the rental. They put short term bandaids on major issues and they take a long time to respond. But don't you dare be late or they will rush to get you evicted. Thankfully my friend and a bunch of us documented everything, took pictures, and have proof. They should just let my friend out of his lease, since the place is poorly managed. Save your money and go elsewhere, especially far away from a split home off beltline blvd.
Please please please think more than twice before renting from this company. I have had nothing but issues since moving in. I was never late on a payment and often times even paid early. I have been living in this unit since June without proper working AC. They have sent out technicians to bandaid fix the problem and then within about a week sir so, the unit is broken again. I have asked them several times to come to some sort of agreement with me for the fact I have not had working AC and they have not budged and expected to receive full rent payment. The latest addition to the problem is the stove broke back in August. I contacted them, through their portal, as they request to fix it. They didn’t. My AC is broken and I don’t have a working Stove/Oven at this point. So I decided to hold back my rent until they fixed it. I received a text from one of their admins yesterday, which at that point I am one day late. She asked when they would receive payment. I said very soon, when can I expect a technician at my house, to which she had no answer. Now 8 days from the day they were contacted, they go and file for an eviction notice, then at 4:30 today reach out to not schedule a technician about my issue of the oven not working. They do not care about you as a person, I promise.
These people only out for your money. They don’t care nothing about the tenants living situation. I moved in one of there properties.kept the grass cut grass was not cut When I moved in. When I moved out they try to keep my deposit. I came up with every excuse not to give my money back. I will advise nobody to rent from these people.
If you don't mind ex-cons having access to your home rent from them otherwise I'd highly recommend a company that actually knows who they're allowing to access the privacy of your home
Patton Properties has been amazing from day one! I was set to rent a house through another property management company but due to an issue with that house the lease was cancelled and I was suddenly left with all my things in a U-Haul and a storage building without a place to live. The housing shortage made finding a rental difficult. My fiancé found a house on Patton Properties website and told me about it. Patton was able to process my application and approved me that day!!!! It was such a relief to know I had a place to move! Also, turned out the house was in my desired neighborhood and in my price range!! The staff is professional, kind, and very helpful especially while assisting with making sure all the paperwork needed was completed so I could move in. Once in the house there were a few things minor things that needed to be fixed ceiling fan and screen door and they sent someone over immediately to take care of it. The rent payment process is super easy and the the renter portal is very user friendly. This has been the best rental experience I have had. I would recommend Patton Properties to anyone looking to rent. I have enjoyed my experience with Patton Properties and I also love that they are a local Property management business.
Friday Maintenance came in to change my air filter but left my door UNLOCKED! The top lock was broken wouldn’t lock from the INSIDE or OUTSIDE! Instead of him replacing it he chose to leave my resident open. I returned home to a WIDE OPEN door, very unprofessional. Nor was I made aware of any issue. With me being a single mother of 2 our safety is top priority. I made Patton property aware of the issue which I considered an emergency with my door not being able to lock & they didn’t respond until Sunday. Mrs. Olga not even working weekends came in to fix my lock until a locksmith is able to be sent out! She even went out to purchase one because the one she had with her wasn’t fit. I want to thank her whole heartily because one she’s off weekends & TWO that’s not in her work description. I wish I could give her a separate rating from Patton property she’s always been sweet & willing to help unlike the other employees!! Thanks again Mrs. Olga!!!
I went through all of the reviews and I have to say I'm surprised at some of the low reviews posted for Patton Properties. I've worked with them now for 2 years going on 3 and I can at least speak about the time period I've worked with them. Patton Properties is very quick to respond to maintenance activities. They are thoroughly knowledgeable about tenant laws and they hold safety of the tenant as a high priority in how they operate their company. I can see they are fair to their tenants and hold both sides of the lease accountable both owner and tenant. It's good to have a property management company hold owners accountable for reinvesting into the properties so they are kept up and in order. I wish nothing but the best for Patton Properties and will continue working with them.
From the first time I spoke to them it has been a pleasure! We are almost at the 2 year mark and we have not had one issue. Anytime there is a problem, they are prompt and courteous. We love the house, the surroundings and the entire experience. Thank you Patton Properties for making our move from NY to SC an easy transition.
I absolutely do not recommend this company !! I called them about an apartment they had listed online ask them what their requirements were told them that I my credit score was not that high but I can afford to pay rent 4 times.. The lady told me that the credit score is not always a big issue however I did ask her around what score were they looking for and she told me it wasn’t a certain credit score so knowing that my credit score is low but that didn’t necessarily hinder me from getting the apartment I still pay them $100 for an application to only get denied within 1 to 2 days now don’t get me wrong they do respond very quickly and can be very nice at first however the guy that I spoke to was very much nasty when I asked him was there anything that we can do about me still renting the apartment being the fact that I can afford the apartment 4 times over He told me no because if so that would be discrimination and it’s not their fault that my credit score is low so before you pay Patton properties you’re $100 make sure your credit score is very high because even if you can afford the property they still will deny you and when you try to see why because it does ask you if you have any questions why you are denied email them the manger or supervisor guy will be very nasty… also when I told one of lady how much I make she said she was gonna talk to him cause she can’t overturn it but he could so yeah they will take ya money knowing and add to making you credit score low
