You can afford eyehlasses here. Payless Opiical ofters a large selection of frames at reasonable prices. The staff are friendly, patient, and helpful. They really seem to care about their customers.
I had been a customer for about 25 years. Marcia was always great; but everyone diserves time off and retirement. The new staff doesn't seem to give a care. I waited 15 days to get my glasses that was expected. The glasses were not in yet, so calling to check daily for another week; I was told " yes they are in but I'm very busy. Could you call back tomorrow." I waited 2 more days. Picking up my glasses was a nightmare they didn't want to fit them gave me a cheap case and moved to another waiting customer.
I have purchased every single pair of glasses for the 4 people in my family2 pairs at a time for each from here in the past and recommended to to everyone but I will no longer use them as of today. They reiterated for me today that customer service is dead. The young man was so rude as soon as I walked through the door because I was unaware they changed their hours and I walked in 5 min before closing. I guess he was ready to go!! I will no longer recommend them....I guess it's on to Eyeglass World.
Definitely not the business it used to be. Was more about helping people, now it's more about money and having people jump thru hoops, then trying to help people. Better off going to one of the more well known optical business at this point. Better products and more services for the same price they are charging. Unfortunate to see such a great customer oriented business model change policy and employees, maybe it has a new owner. If it's not the policy changes, it's the new young employees trying to talk down to the the customers and just acting like you even going into the store was a inconvenience. Will not be returning and I guess looking for a more reputable and customer service based business.
I don't understand why I was instructed to pay cash for my frames. The lady suggested that I access an ATM close to the store. My frames were not accessible from the floor, the representative retrieved them from a separate area and said they cost more. I had no problem with the price but I find it rather shady to require cash for a purchase.
One of the main staff today ;refused to wear a mask. This when the White House Covid-19 task force has said Kansas is nearly in the red zone-- "with 35,418 cases and 407 deaths in the state, according to 41 Action News data analysis. Dr. Deborah Birx, White House coronavirus task force coordinator, spoke in Kansas on Saturday and said Kansas was close to being in the red zone. The weekend’s addition of more than 1,000 new cases seemingly pushed the state over the brink." When I reminded him it is a state ordinance, he said "it's not enforced." I hope corporate stresses the importance of considering the well being and safety of customers, not just his own desire to defy the law. If he drove 95 mph in a 25 mph zone, certainly he would see that his "freedom" to break the law has severe consequences for others. The other staff person was wonderful and masked.
Prices are great! They aren't following you around and trying to convince you to buy something. If want you want is inexpensive, good quality glasses, this place can do that for you!
I have been a customer of Payless Optical for over 25 years. Marcia is extremely knowledgeable and competent. I highly recommend this business.
Don't spend your money here. Terrible service and lackluster deals. Better off shopping at a more reputable eyeglass store.
Took almost a month to get my glasses, kept calling and they said they would have ot by friday and still waiting . very poor service
