Peacock Indian Cuisine

Get there early, excellent food! Seems to be a popular place - if you get there a little before noon time, you have a better chance of finding a nice table. My former pastor of Crossroads Bible Church, who is from Calcutta, and has eaten at many different Indian restaurants in this area, said he was delighted by the cuisine. 😊

The quality has dropped drastically recently. It used to be a nice lunch place. Last two times either the buffet options were running out or they were so bad and service was so late, by the time the rotis on your table you would finish your lunch.

None of vegetarian items are good. I used to come regularly a year back and it was good. But this time it is not good at all. I lowered the rating again. They show different buffet prices on website and when you go there they charge more and they will say sorry website it is not updated. It is been 4 months same story. Food is horrible panner kadai, veg curry are worse. I got a hair in the food thought of taking a picture somehow I forgot and it was cleaned by servent when I went to get a new plate.

We ordered biryani on Sunday may27, the minute we opened the lid itself we could sense that the biryani is spoiled.still to a doubt my husband served it into his plate, biryani is so wet and even the chicken pieces were wet.never saw such a bad biryani.since I had good experience with Fremont peacock we went to Santa Clara, it was a bad experience.

Good place to go on a Saturday night to avoid crowds. The Veg Dum Biryani was very good and the right level of spice. The Palak Paneer was good, although a bit too mild for me. Service was okay, although a little slow given that they weren't very busy when I visited. I plan to go back to try other menu items when I'm in the area.
