This Peet's is decent, and it's your best option for an espresso if you don't want to leave Coolidge Corner. Maybe their taste in coffee is not bleeding edge cool, but the baristas at this location are definitely tasting the coffee, and they have the right tools in this shop and do a pretty good job. The line always seems to be moving in this shop. I don't think I would be comfortable parking my laptop for hours in this place, as it is smaller and busier than other nearby cafes, but their coffee is just better than any other place within a half mile radius.
Good coffee, including an organic choice almost always. Pastry is better than at that other well known chain. Environment is friendly, as is the staff. Tea selection is quite good, including organic choices. Coffee refils can be had for something like 50 cents. It does get busy due to location, but always possible to find a good cozy seat.
The staff were so nice and pleasant early in the morning. They addressed me familiarly although it was only my second time going to that shop. The latte was perfect. Although the seating was close I was still comfortable.
Friendly service and great tasting coffee / espresso options. Would recommend to those looking for a homier alternative to Starbucks a few doors down. Spaced out seating options gives this local site a coffee cafe feel that is hard to beat. If you are looking for food, your choices are limited to pastries and bagels although those go fast. Merchandise and ground coffee can be purchased here as well. Parking lot / street parking close by. Also close to public transportation.
Coffee was okay. It was cool that they served it in a mug. If you need to get work done, however, do not come here. The internet was incredibly slow! Slowest internet connection I have ever found in any coffee shop!! I will certainly not be coming back here unless I am meeting up with friends or something.
Peet's Coffee in Brookline is my go to spot for working. The atmosphere is quiet and enjoyable, the staff are friendly and welcoming and, more importantly, it's better than Starbucks but with less people! Also the chocolate chip cookie is delicious!
They're always personable and try to get to know their customers, and the drinks are all great, never poorly made. Plus it's just a nice atmosphere, classy yet warm. Highly recommend as a coffee shop.
I love Peets, I do but this one is just in a terrible space and its always crowded. I guess its good for a quick coffee on the go but pretty uncomfortable for hanging yet it's always crowded. I have never had a bad coffee here though so not a bad place!
I received bonus reward cards for purchasing $50 in gift cards over the holidays. When I tried to use one, Peet's refused to accept it acknowledging they did nor properly activate it at the time of purchase. They then required me to contact Peet's HQ to have them activate the card, which they did. However, they informed me that the local store could have done this at the manager's discretion. Given it was the manager's ineffective training that caused this in the first place and was subsequently followed by a total disregard for customer service, that manager should be replaced with someone who gets it. This never would have happened at Starbucks!
2 Medium Earl Gray tea lattes and a very tasty raspberry Danish pastry and a decent pecan roll. Helpful staff. And this from a regular Starbucks Rewards member. signed up for the Peets Rewards App.
