Peli Peli Galleria

Wonderful from start to finish. Our server Matthew was FABULOUS. He was energetic and knowledgeable about the menu. He made great suggestions, explained everything with such enthusiasm, and even picked one person's meal (with permission of course). The food came quickly and was delicious. We tried the sampler appetizer plate, and thoroughly enjoyed each selection. Our meals were each equally delightful, well seasoned and beautifully presented.

A nice restaurant for some South African food. The food was well seasoned. The pricing is a bit high so maybe try for lunch instead of dinner. The location is convenient being in The Galleria. They do have other locations if you would like to try.

The atmosphere in pleasant and the decor is interesting (reminiscent of being under water). Our waiter was very attentive, all most to the point of intrusion. The manager also swooped in to find out how our meal was, which was nice however the waiter had already asked 3 times. The food was bland. I had the curried chicken with African rice. There was nothing authentic about it. The chicken portion was reasonable but it was hiding about 3 mouthfuls of rice. The food was barely warm. I also sampled my dining partner’s chicken Espetada which was equally bland and sickly sweet to boot. I’d come again to try something else on the menu, only because the serving staff are so good at their jobs.

I chose this restaurant for a birthday dinner. I saw photos of the decor and I was very impressed once we arrived. It reminds me of the Black Panther’s Wakanda. You just feel as if you’re somewhere else. The staff was very courteous and friendly. Patrick was our server and he took awesome care of us. I never had to ask for a refill or flag him down when we needed something. He was very proactive. The food was amazing! My entire party enjoyed their selections. Usually in a group reservation something always goes wrong. This was not the case here. Everything was cooked to perfection. The bacon wrapped chicken and chicken espetada blew my mind. It was an awesome presentation from start to finish! I highly recommend this restaurant!!

Peli Peli came to me as a complete, yet exceedingly good surprise. At our table were two main dishes: 1) 8 oz Center Cut Filet with with sauce (Huguenot, Garlic Herb Butter, Diane, Peli Peli Sauce, or Madagascar Peppercorn), 2) Great Karoo Lamb Chops • Lemon Juice • Peli Herb Mix • Homemade Mint Sauce. To say they were both exquisitely mouth watering might be an understatement. Go. Be. Enjoy. You will not regret this one.
