Penn's Restaurants

Expensive food was ok . NEVER had. Enough meat out . the peach cobbler was really more doughy than preaches and I and the guests I went with said we'd never go back to this Penn's location. Maybe the others r more better than this particular location

I stopped in with some friends for lunch. They we at about half capacity with customers and we were told to take a seat. We had a good wait to get a waitress, after ordering our drinks we decided to eat from the bar. Once at the bar we had to wait about five minutes for plates and we found the bar half empty as the picture shows. We decided to get some of the food that was on the bar and we would get more when the trays were refilled. At the other end of the bar we had to wait for our eating utensils. When I asked our waitress how long it would be until the fish was brought out I was told, "There's no fish on the bar." We arrived around 12:30 and left at 1:30, none of the food trays were refilled on the bar. Customers at tge table next to us also had a long wait for their food when they ordered from the menu instead of eating from the bar. The cashier asked us how everything was and I told her it wasn't good. I mentioned the fish and she said, "There's no fish on the bar." She told me they had chicken on the bar and I told here there was no chicken. She said there were pork chops and I told here there were two. She became angry, abruptly returned my payment and told me they were very busy. Really, too busy to see to customers at half capacity? Penn's Fish House is famous for their fried catfish. Why wouldn't you put it in the bar? Next time I may be busy as well . . . eating elsewhere.

Excellent food and friendly service. I went in at an off-time and had this place to myself.

The service was just awful and the food was not so good. Won't be going back to this one. The Pen'ns on Old Fannin Rd. is totally the better of all Penns.

Thay have a good buffet or you can order of fried cat fish.
