Arrived to Pep Boys at approximately 1830hrs located on 7st. I attempted calling them ahead of time but no answer. The manager Dean was profesional and courteous and greeted me with a smile when I arrived in a tow truck using their Pep Boys Roadside Towing Service. The technician Cruz performed all the work with a smile. I was in and out within 30min!! Outstanding!!
Fair prices, especially compared to the local dealerships. Not only was my oil change on the house because they were short staffed and couldn’t take me during my original appointment, but they provided very fast service- oil change in less than 25 min. Staff were friendly and were flexible with customers. My only critique is I wish they would have left a sticker on my windshield to remind me of my next oil change mileage and not just on the write up / receipt.
This is my second experience with this location and going to be my last one. Please save your time and go to any other location besides this one. I am not one for leaving reviews but my fuse has been completely burnt out by them. My first experience was a few months back when trying to get an oil change from them as they're right down the street from where I live. I made an appointment online and when I came in, they said my spot was given to someone who made a reservation over the phone after mine was already confirm. Why even have online reservations if you do not abide by them? I had to wait over 2 hours for the vehicle to be serviced. That is when I told myself that I would never go back, so I went to a competitor to have my new oil change completed but was told that I needed to take the vehicle back to this location because they had put a bolt that was too big in my oil drain plug and had striped it. The competitor told me to go back as Pepboys was responsible for fixing the issue. Flash forward two weeks and I made another appointment to this location over the phone this time! I get to the appointment and to my surprise, they wanted me to come back 2 hours later which I reluctantly agreed too. They just called me and said they had to cancel once again and can not reschedule for 5 days. This blows my mind because I completely wasted a day fooling with this incompetent team.
This place is so out of it I couldn't even get my car seen in the first place. I called on a Saturday to schedule an appointment for Monday evening. Just an oil change. I go in. Wait 15 minutes for them to tell me that they can't change my oil because the tech on duty doesn't have the right tools. Fine. My brother is a mechanic so I understand that they all have to buy their own tools and this kid probably just started his collection, whatever. The Older man at the counter is nice and pleasant so I schedule an appointment for later on in the week, Thursday. Before Thursday, I get a phone call. They can't take my car in on Thursday because of some reason. The man on the phone wasn't clear as to why, but asked if I could bring the car in the next Monday at 4pm. I'm annoyed but fine, I'm too busy at the time to make a fuss. Monday my roommate has to take the car in and he calls me not 10 minutes after being gone and tells me they said they can't take my car in. The well they store all the old oil in is full. Not only that, but they were confused as to why he was even there because they DIDN'T EVEN PUT DOWN MY NEW APPOINTMENT. They called me to schedule a new appointment, confirmed the time with me, and then -never put it in the system-. That is ABSURD. He says they told him to bring the car back at 6pm on Wednesday. I tried to call several times after that trying to get a hold of anyone to talk to about this. No answer, voicemail box is full. I can't even get a hold of someone to cancel my new appointment. I'm furious and I won't be bringing my car here again. Once is bad luck, twice is bad habit, 3 times and I'm taking my business elsewhere.
They stayed open past their business hours in order to replace a tire for me that blew out. The guy on duty had somewhat of an attitude since they were staying a little over past their hours of operation. I did show up prior to their closing time, 15 minutes prior. I was just glad they were able to replace my tire for me that night since I have been driving all day.
Derek at Pep Boys is amazing and has just about brought me to tears. He was kind enough to squeeze in fixing my flat tire at the end of the day, and he did it free of charge. Driving over a screw and getting a flat tire had been a comically bad end to a terrible week that also included getting my credit card stolen and some very big health challenges. Somehow, Derek just knew that I needed a win, and his act of kindness now feels like a tremendous blessing during a very challenging week. Thank you so much for your kindness, compassion, and excellent customer service. I am truly touched.
Had a great experience with the guys here today. I brought my car in with a “light on”. They immediately checked my car out and quickly made the minor adjustment. Super friendly and so quick and easy. I’ll be back and would recommend!
We brought in my girlfriends car because the engine was making a noise. They held on to our vehicle for 4 days without even giving us a phone call, we had to call them, and they told us they couldn't fix it. The noise was worse when we got it back from them, the engine was knocking. We took it to a dealership to get fixed instead. I tried to give them another chance when my check engine light came on, they told me they weren't "qualified" and hung up on me mid sentence. Terrible customer service over the phone and when we went in, minus one of the workers there. I have no idea how this location has almost 4 stars when pep boys has much better locations with 2. Don't recommend
On a road trip from Colorado to Mexico when brakes started acting up. Called the store from Albuquerque NM said I would be in town around 4pm. Arrived staff was wonderful, had the parts already onsite. Turned out needing both front and back rotors and pads. They took care of everything and even got me a warranty. Thank you Chad for for all your help and for helping get my family back on the road quickly.
My daughter and I came here for a 2nd opinion regarding her brakes and the manager was able to save her a significant amount of money. He also took the time to actually show her on the vehicle what needed done and why. Highly recommend this business, very ethical and fairly priced.
