Petco Animal Supplies

Love the people who work here. My only complaint is that the bathrooms were GROSS when I went in the early afternoon a couple of times. We're talking poop on the floor gross. I mentioned this to an employee who seemed genuinely concerned about the bathroom not being up to standard.

The worst groomers treat your pets terribly! I have a 2 yr old labradoodle, he has had his private parts cut by a groomer in this store and it took me a long time to consider taking him back there but I was assured that person was no longer there so I trusted a different groomer there and boy was I wrong! I dropped him off and my dog got sandwiched between two groomers while they were trying to get me my paperwork to pay and I can only assume his foot was either stepped on or ran over by the desk chair because he freaked out and his nail caught the groomer's legging and ripped it. I felt terrible so I left the store to go get cash to pay for her leggings and when I returned she was around the corner yelling at my dog to shut up (he saw me walk in so he was crying) and calling him names. One of the other groomers noticed me and cut her off. She walked around the corner and I offered her the cash and told her I was sorry and she snatched out my hand and barely mumbled a thanks and turned around. I couldn't bare leaving my dog there with her so I asked management to get him for me. They are always good at trying to make their wrongs, right by giving you your money back and offering free service but he (and I) will forever be traumatized by this place and they can't pay their way out of that.

This is where I always go for all the food for all of my pets and I have different types with different needs. I can get answers to my questions that might arise about my pets. The store is clean and orderly. We have always been helped by Del, Enricqe, Joy, Catherine and most of the other staff there during our visits and training sessions over the many years that we have been going to this store.

They don't seem to check their tanks often, nor do they try to cure any sick fish. Rather, they seem to just let them die. Careless when putting fish into tanks, found an aggressive fish in with guppies, it had been attacking up until i told a worker who, to her credit, removed it promptly and seemed genuinely concerned. For a place that sells pet supplies, it would be great to see them make a change in how they take care of the animals they sell.
