The beef stew and the chicken entree was excellent. We also ordered the Pao nam beef well done. The broth was a bit bland and the meat was rubbery. It wasn't bad but not as good as the beef stew. The service was nice and the view from the windowside is great. Vegetarian options: They have vegetarian soups, salads and spring rolls
After staying in NOLA for the weekend, we wanted to get some pho because we were craving something warm and hearty. The pho was simple and delicious. The spring rolls were also delicious and hit the spot. Everyone was super nice and helpful at the restaurant. Def recommend for people to visit!
I needed a pho fix after a week of eating delicious Southern food and this place hit the mark. It's all about the broth, right? This place definitely has delicious broth with great aromatics and that silky bone broth feel. Service was friendly and quick. Serving size was good. I just wish that tripe could have been available. The owner Ken? explained that there wasn't much demand for it in this location and he didn't want to compromise with frozen tripe. There are pho-ing standards!
Came here during our Nola visit after a recommendation from a food writer. Did not disappoint! The bún bò Huế was perfect, with chewy thick rice noodles. I was happy they had a salty plum beverage! Service was fast and friendly.Dine in: YesOutdoor seating: NoTakeout: Yes
This place could be good for anyone who can’t cook VN food at all, or hasn’t tried real VN food. Looks like their regulars are students and faculties at the nearby medicine college, or office staff who likes convenient food at reasonable price. The coffee is also disappointing. I don’t recommend this place for tourists.
Pho was good, nothing super special about it, not a lot of brisket, one of them was entirely fat, and a little overpriced.
Tasty Vietnamese Food near the Tulane Medical School. I got CM 1- Com Ga Roti, and it was delicious!
Delicious food, get a signature dish that comes with their House special honey mustard sauce! You won't regret it.
Very bad experience for take out order. First of all, I ordered 6 items off the menu, cost more than $110, but they didn't give us any utensils or napkins. The pho was so plain, and I could tell the broth was water down. The combination pan fried noodles has zero meat, and all other protein are artificial fishball, crab stick. The special banh mi is very chewy, the meat is so dry. The special fried rice also plain. They used the little pink shrimp in the rice, so for the pan fried noodles, and in the spring rolls. All the rice paper used in the spring rolls had broken into pieces, not intact. How terrible it was. If you called yourself an authentic Vietnamese restaurant, at least start how to roll a perfect springroll first, because it's a very basic dish everyone can do in Vietnam. The bun cha gio thit nuong looks so good, but the meat so dried and cold in room temperature. Very disappointed about their food. Compared to their original Westbank location, this one is not even deserved one star.
I so wanted to like this place because I miss good Vietnamese food. Unfortunately, on my visit at lunch, the food was lacking. The folks working were wonderful, though. I felt very appreciated as a customer. I ordered the BUN CHA GIO THIT NUONG. The Imperial rolls were fried in a rancid tasting oil. And the wrapping was heavy, not light & crispy. The grilled pork had a good flavor, but was served at room temperature and was chewy and dry. I took most of the food home with me, and when I reheated the pork, it was moist and had a good texture. There were only a few cilantro leaves in the salad. No mint, basil, or jalapeno. I particularly missed the fresh aspect of herbs that I so associate with Vietnamese food from Hanoi. I hope they can improve the quality of the preparation. The ingredients were certainly fresh and tasty.
