Piccolo's Pizza

We received a flyer in the mail for their Grand Opening so we thought we would give them a shot. Hopefully it was just an off night, but the food was horrible, and priced far to high for the quality that we received. The order was not correct to start with, however it arrived in a timely manner. There was barely any meat on the gyros, fries were stale, the bacon cheddar fries were baked, and burned to a crisp. The garlic knots were not even able to be eaten. The dough seemed raw and undercooked, as well has extremely heavy seasoning. Times are tight, but there are far better options for Italian and Greek food in the Virginia Beach area. When we first moved to this area two years ago, Piccolos had the best Italian food in the area. We have tried the food twice now since the new management change, and it has been sub par at best. This is so disappointing since we used to get delivery/carry out from Piccolos at least once a month. They need to go back to the old recipes, the current food is NOT worth the cost....

Me and my wife ordered food from them the other night, the delivery man was very nice, he stuck out from most of the other delivery men, he was very polite. He forgot to get our Pepsi, when I told him, he went back and got us one. The food was great! FYI: The parmesan chicken sub was AMAZING! I couldn't even finish it, it was so filling. If you want some good food, order from Piccolo's!

I'm not sure who these people are who do not like this place. I just went there 12/13/2011 for the first time. The guy who was working owner I'm guessing was straight off the boat italian, not even like new york italian and so nice. I just ordered a slice of pizza to try it, so I can't comment on any other of the items he made it fresh while I was standing there. Yes it is a take out/delivery only type place meaning one table I guess so you can sit while you wait, but so is pappa john's and any other pizza place for the most part. And when I opened in the car to share with my boyfriend he had given me two for the price of one. The pizza was great! I lived in Italy for 3 years, and my family is also Italian and this is by far the closest I've come to real italian style pizza. The dough is great it's thinner crust which I'm not normally a fan of lived in chicago a bit too with their deep dish but in this case I loved it. The sauce, which due to my italian-ness I am normally super picky about, was great. Obviously the people who disliked know nothing about real italian pizza or food and would also enjoy pizza hut. We will be ordering all our pizzas from there from now on

so i decided to try the Mediterranean pizza and it was absolutely amazing. this is officially my favorite pizza spot here, no denying that the customer service is beyond excellent from the ordering over the phone to the picking up the pizza from the location. i highly recommend you try this pizza especially if you are from new york!

Great pizza! Just had their Quatro Cheese Pizza and it was great. Expect to pay a little more than a chain, but its definitely better. These folks deserve your business!
