Fully capable veterinary clinic equipped with an emergency room. They appear to hold themselves to the same standards required in a normal human medical facility. Meaning, their "vets" are just as highly trained and knowledgeable as a human doctor. The facility is just as clean and orderly as a human hospital. It should also be noted that their knowledge and professionalism is reflected in their price, meaning your vet bill will also be similar to a human medical bill. But if you consider your pet a member of the family, and want the very best medical attention for your pet this is the absolute best place to go.

OVER CHARGED FOR ANITBOTICS A $22 BOTTLE A REG VETS COST $75 THERE, THATS NOT RIGHT, THEY WANT A LOT OF MONEY UP FRONT, ALTHOUGH THEY HAVE SEVERAL SPECIALISTS THERE, I DONT THINK THAT OVER CHARGING FOR MEDICATIONS IS APPROPRIATE AND SHOULD BE REGULATED AS IT WOULD BE WITH A PHARMACY FOR HUMANS, I DONT KNOW HOW THEY GET AWAY WITH IT... TERRIBLE

I was referred to Dr. Albin when I was trying to find a suitable exotic vet to neuter my guinea pig. It was over a two over drive from Massachusetts but entirely worth it. When I first arrived it was super busy and I was still greeted and brought back to check in. All the staff was exceptionally nice, especially the "guinea pig whisperer". I could not be more impressed with Dr. Albin though, from the moment he first walked in the door I had a good feeling about him. He was extremely patient and walked me through the whole procedure allowing time for all my questions. As for the neuter it went wonderfully, I was sent home with antibiotics (didn't get pain meds but we never needed them). When I did have a concern over the incision they managed to squeeze me in. I even made a mistake of when I would arrive and when I called to tell them I would be late, they still found of way for me to get seen. Thankfully, nothing was wrong and I was just being worried but I am still very appreciative of their and Dr. Albins flexibility. For anyone looking for an exotic vet I highly recommend Pieper-Olson.

Very professional and helpful. Needed an emergency appt and they saw my cat within a half hour. Not cheapest option but definitely the best service and professionalism.

I want to preface this review with some transparency; Pieper Olson Emergency actually sends an email once you bring your pet there ASKING you to leave a 5 star review on Google. This explains why there is such a difference in their Google ratings versus their Yelp ratings. I brought my cat Charlie there as an emergency patient. He stopped eating and was increasingly lethargic. We left him there on a Friday so they could run tests, and at that point we were happy with our experience. We visited him on Saturday and were told he would likely need a feeding tube if he didn’t start eating. He was only 1.5 years old, so we wanted to do what we could and agreed. On Monday, a vet called me wanting to do more tests and procedures and was a bit argumentative with me. By now, our vet bill was $3100. We wouldn’t have been able to get Charlie until Thursday, and who knows how much our bill would have grown in that time. Charlie got his tube placed and we brought him home Monday night. His prognosis was good as long he was being closely monitored. My fiancé and I each took time off to stay with him and keep feeding him. Unfortunately, Charlie passed away at home on Thursday, 6 days after this all began. I don’t blame Pieper Olson for this, he was very sick. My issue with them is once Charlie was released, not one single person called. They were happy to take over $3000 from us, but once we took Charlie home, we didn’t matter. They tried guilting us into leaving Charlie with them to be monitored, when in reality Charlie would have died anyway. He was just too sick. In my opinion, if a team of vets is that concerned with the well-being of your pet, they would follow-up after major surgery. That’s what I cannot leave a 5 star review even after they ASKED for one.
