Plain Township Aquatic Center

Very family friendly. They have an area for young kids that is enclosing with a fence and locking gate. Provides some peace with of mind.

A nice pool but it's usually pretty crowded with kids and families. There's usually seats available even if you come in the middle of the day.

I came in at 5:00pm with my wife, kid, nephew and nieces. I paid $35 to get in for all of us. 10 minutes later it starts to storm so everybody leaves the pool. We asked for a refund or at least passes to come back another day and the manager says they dont offer refunds for weather related issues. She said they werent closed just had to get out pf the pool. So i said okay, fine. I go back to my chairs where we were sitting and a guy told me and my son we couldnt sit there and we had to either go back to our car and wait for the weather to pass, or stand by the entrance. I tokd him my story and he said i could possibky get a pass. Then i told him i talked to the manager about that, and then he saidd oh i guess not. Okay, so somewhere in those two workers dpnt add up. How the heck am i suppose to get a pass then if such thing exist? I mean it must exist if he said so. He wasnt ecen a life guard, he was some type of lead. So right now my kids are in the parking lot playing in the rain. Im so pissed. If you guys are looking to come here, i advise you read "the signs all over" says the manager because i guess she expected me to read all that before we came in.

We love this pool! My 2-year-old doesn't really like the splash playground area, but he has lots of fun wading in the zero-entry part and I like that the little kid area is fenced in. At $9 for adults and $7 for children (3-17) it's a little expensive, but if you go after 4pm it's only $5.

Pros: only $5 after 4:00 and a zero entry end. Cons: 1. absolutely and consistently filthy restrooms. I would think one would make the restrooms closer AND as appealing as possible to swimmers. On a related note, 2. the pool often has emergency closures when children have been found to have soiled the water. How about you just make your nasty restrooms usable??!! 3. It's Ohio—sometimes you just have to heat the pool. The water is so cold in the summer it is not enjoyable. 4. An annoying giant sprinkler in the middle of the pool. No one plays in it and it crowds the sides of the pool with patrons who are trying to avoid it. I sound like a grouch, but the very minimal thing anyone wants in a pool is for it to be hygienic and warm enough to actually get in.
