Plants of the Southwest

Toughest plants in town! Seriously - after a long, cold winter, the plants from here will come up again in spring, while many of the plants from other sources (with the exception of Agua Fria Nursery) may not make it. Especially excellent for native plants, and the best place in town for native seeds. They also have vegetables, very good trees, herbs, groundcovers, books, soil amendments and fertilizers. No, they do not take credit cards, but they do take local checks. When the kitchen/cafe is open this is one of my favorite spots for lunch.

The staff were beyond kind, welcoming and helpful. They had all the grasses, shrubs and plants I needed, plus some local compost. Cool place, good vibes. Thanks Mario and Gail (?).

Very impressive, the best resource I've seen for native species, great seed collection. 4 stars because they don't take credit cards.

This is one of our favorite places to buy plants. This year we started late and the selection of plants were pretty well picked over. Out of the four plants we bough, I think 2 of them may be DOA. I'm hoping with a little yum yum and some loving care we can bring them back.
