Cozy authentic place with good service. Unlike most hell's kitchen restaurants, this one is in a street instead of the avenues. Makes for a nice quiet vibe. While this a not a fancy date place it's definitely a place where you can go an have a conversation while enjoying a meal. The home made hot sauce is one of the best I've had in the city!
Very good tacos. Fresh n tasty. Service was one of the better we have had this trip to NYC. Nice salad option instead of rice n beans for taco combo plate. Sat outside and was fairly quiet except when trucks rolled by. Wife an oved her shrimp tacos. Of mine incl chicken n pork, fish was probably the best.
Had early dinner on a Saturday evening. Service was great! Sat outside in the enclosed area and it was very comfortable and inviting. Food overall was delicious. Especially enjoyed the homemade salsa and the carne asada tacos. Vegetarian options: Yes, available
Flavourful food! A small hole in the wall place, it's located a little off the main street. Service was quick. We ordered the enchiladas vege and nachos with guac. The serving size was wholesome.
Best Mexican food I’ve had in a while. Sangria was amazing. Tacos and enchiladas were to die for. Quiet atmosphere with good music. Service was fast and attentive.
It is the best restaurant with Mexican food I ever ate! It will be your right option always if you want to have authentic Mexican taste with fair price. Highly recommended!
My search is complete. Since moving to NYC from the south 7 years ago I’ve been on a search for good Mexican restaurants here. I’ve been all over and they’re all not quite perfect for different reasons. When friends visit I’d take them to places and have to say well the burritos are great here but not the chips. Or the tacos are good but they’re tiny and $6. Today, my search is over. I found an objectively good, no excuses, very tasty, great service, reasonably priced Mexican spot! I’m bringing everyone here!
Food was great, had the Taco Combo & Burrito Alambre. Good value for money.
The food was excellent. I had a steak burrito, and a side of rice and beans. The steak was cooked to medium and had a great flavor. I was full off of half a burrito and a fork full of rice and beans. I would definitely go back. Good food at a good price point. Service was good!
I’ve never claimed something like this, but honestly, best al pastor tacos I’ve ever had. If you like heat, try their hot sauce. And very friendly waitress and quick service. So glad they were open late on a Monday night. It’s off the busy street too so it was quieter, which I like.
