Genuinely our favourite restaurant in NYC. The food here is incredible and some of the best we’ve ever had. The authenticity and attention to the flavour was amazing - this is proper Mexican food. Fair prices about $5 per taco. We came back twice in our visit to the city in May 2022. Staff were so friendly and kind. We primarily had the Al Pastor tacos and these were incredible. Huge, tasted amazing, lovely presentation. We also tried the guacamole and this was so fresh and delicious. We also had the bistec and pollo tacos both great but Al Pastor was our favourite as well as a bistec platillo great tasting beans, beef and rice. Had the tamarindo juice drink and the horchata too. Both were incredible!! Hope to come back to NYC and genuinely is worth the trip alone.

I’ve been coming here for years. It’s truly a hidden gem. Everything is authentic, fresh and delicious. You feel as though you were at home. The owners are also very nice and friendly.

This place is an amazing hole-in-the-wall Mexican food stop. If you're looking for amazing tamales this is definitely the place to visit. I've only ever tried tamales once but I dare not go to any other place than here because I feel going anywhere else would ruin them. I get the green tamales and my dad gets the red ones and he's been coming here for at least 4 years now and swears by them.

Veggie enchilada was amazing, very homely vibes. Would definitely recommend!

Grew up in Southern California and have struggled to find good Mexican food in the city especially in Lower Manhattan. This is it. Don't sleep on the Jamaica, one of the best I've ever had.
