Portas Da Cidade

Absolutely excellent. We were quoted an hour and ten minutes wait on our first visit, however we were seated within thirty minutes. Let me tell you, it is worth the wait. The food makes you think you are in the Azores. I haven’t had Portuguese food this good since my last trip to Faial. I don’t believe there is anything on the menu that you could order and not thoroughly enjoy. There is a dining room and lounge area with a bar. Service staff are very professional and friendly. There are gorgeous photos of the Azores islands hanging on the walls, and beautiful fish in the lobby. Nice atmosphere for a date night. A little noisy as it does get crowded. The women’s restroom is also a little tight, being a single stall. Definitely recommend!

I only discover Portas Da Cidade in the last year, honestly the best Portuguese food around, except Vavo's house ofcourse. Two different sides, a pub area and an upscale dining room. Have had great experiences in both.

Excellent food and attentive staff. The portions are satisfying and the prices are reasonable. I go weekly for lunch or dinner and it’s very consistent.

Steak an sauce was good but very cheap on portion size allways have to ask for ex rice a new fries. The wait time can be a bit obserd they do charge for refills crazy I don't know any other restaurant that charges for refills
