I vist here pretty often. Although the coffee was satisfactory, my visit was tainted by the unwelcoming demeanor of the staff and the inconvenient espresso order restriction within 30 minutes of closing. It's disheartening when enjoyable beverages are eclipsed by subpar service and rigid policies. Additionally, it was observed that the female staff member received no orders even 10 minutes prior to closing.
Located inside the great old school market of Essex Street is this gem of a coffee place. Very nice style and a friendly guys brewing one of the best coffees i've had in New York. The combination of the location and the excellent roasted coffee, makes this one of my favourite coffee take away places.
After trying all the big name coffee brands from NY to Seattle and other smaller brands advertised by "coffee experts," I have finally found the place I LOVE and TRUST with quality and taste!!! It's been a 7+ yrs of journey and I now only order from Porto Rico Importing Co. My family's accidental visit to the store ended up being the best gift ever! Fast & Accurate delivery, check! Freshly grounded tasteful quality coffee, check! Thank you!!
Another outpost of this outstanding coffee purveyor, it’s located inside Essex market. My favorite is the Ethiopian yirgacheffe. Unlike other third wave coffee spots, they sell a pound of quality beans for under $15, unlike their competitors who charge $16+ for 12 oz. They also sell cups of coffee for under $2 and iced coffee for $2.50. Why would you go anywhere else?
Yes the beans might be good, but if don’t know how to make a coffee what use is it? Milk so burnt and hot it lost taste. Cortado the size of a flat white! ‍
Coffee beans from all over the world! They even added cardamom to the Yemeni coffee I was interested in! Their fresh coffee needs an upgrade; made a filter change…
The rudeness of the staff at this location is almost comical, especially regarding the lady working there. If you care about service in any aspect, stay away. Their coffee is also mediocre at best. I will not be back.Food: 2/5
Great coffee vendor in Essex Street for delicious hot and cold drinks and freshly ground beans!
Last sunday there were immature women baristas. They don't how much ice and milk should be in the iced latte and poured espresso shots directly to the plastic cup, which isn't accepatble. Normally I like this place, but you should train new baristas.
I liked it. Not ridiculously expensive and the coffee was good and fastFood: 5/5
