This place is a gem. Low prices, incredibly friendly staff, and really quick wait times. They're also open pretty late on weekends! The food is also, of course, fantastic. Bonus: they're completely peanut free, so if you have a peanut allergy it's a great option for you!
Guys as the holiday season are upon us, with the Hustle and the bustle of commuting and trying to get everything done before friends and family arrives, one less thing to worry about!!…. GIVE THIS PLACE A TRY for your treats and cakes and so much more. I walked in looking for something specific but was greeted with a warm hello. OMG it’s so beautiful I could hardly contain my smiles. I will be back Fortunato!!!!!
Ok I can't say enough about this place. I don't think I can ever eat a donut from anywhere else. Their pastries are AMAZING! This was the second visit my sister and I made to Fortunato because we weren't sure if the first time was a dream. Their stuff is . I haven't had one bad item there so far. And when I tasted that lobster claw... Well I think my soul left my body. EX..CEL..LENT!
My favorite bakery for the past 5 years, never had a complaint until I found this white powder substance… safe to say this bakery is going downhill with their baking goods while the prices are rising…never again- this was from my mocha mousse cake-purchased 6/22/22
My mother-in-law has been going here for decades and my husband and I are lucky enough to live just a walk away. Devine treats, the pinole cookies are my favorite. We love them so much that we got our own small personal wedding cake for our wedding from them in October!
Good variety of Italian pastries and coffee. Came in here once after dinner to get some deserts with friends. I was recommended to get the cheesecake. It was very good. I’ll definitely go back again to try their other yummy looking pastries. Sorry didn’t take a photo of the cheesecake because I finished it in like a minute
The sfogliatelle was good, but my god was the rainbow cookie something special. ELITE. I’ll make the trip out to Williamsburg again for the best rainbow cookie I’ve had in my life.
This place used to be a staple! Sadly through the years it’s going downhill. From quality to customer service. Quite frankly I won’t ever go back simply because if the customer service! It’s the second time in the same year I’ve been here and the girls working behind the counter are rude, uninterested or paying more attention to what’s going on with other employees. First time I over looked it, maybe the girl was having a bad day. But came in Xmas day to pick up some pastries and the girl who helped us this time looked like she hated her job, she was miserable, didn’t know what she was doing and she was preoccupied with what was going on with all her friends laughing and joking without her. I came in with my boyfriend and didn’t even say anything about my last experience. He looked over at me and asked me “ Is this real?” He could t believe how much this girl didn’t want to do her job and didn’t have a clue! I understand no one wants to work on Xmas day, find a different job that allows you the time off then. But customer service is just as important as quality products. Goes hand in hand.
I'll stay neutral with this Italian bakery because some items are good but in my opinion, very over rated. Here's the thing, this is my review from my point of view. I believe for the price your paying your cakes/items should be top notch and they are not. You can go else where for cheaper prices with better quality taste. That's just my opinion and I'm sure others do agree and others that don't agree. They have some cakes and pastries that are good. They also have some items I will never purchase again due to taste and flavor. Like their red velvet cake lollipop, try it and you'll understand in what I mean. It tasted old and flavor was off so I threw it out, like I said never again. I don't really enjoy their cannoli cream either because I've had much better taste in a lot of other bakery places, again for much cheaper prices. All in all, ok but not for me again.
Such a great place for italian cookies and desserts. Reminds me of my Italian family. The desserts were great and the coffee was a nice addition too. What made it better was the outside dinning which was safe and felt private. A great place for a morning coffee with a friend
