This was a recommendation from Yelp and as long as I love bakeries, I decided to try it. The place itself is very small we managed to find a place for our baby stroller though, pies’ assortment was very poor only three pies at around 3 pm but I believe they bake though the whole day and it is always different. I ordered pecan molasses and maple walnut. Pies are quite good, it can be easily said that they are baked from the scratch using the whole ingredients, just like homemade. But I can’t tell that it’s the best pie, pieces are also so small that I had to take scone and muffin in addition to feel full. Overall, it was nice experience but definitely The Blue Stove did not become my favourite bakery.
The plum raspberry crumble is up there with the best pies I've ever had. The bacon scone was also amazingly delicious - smokey and moist and yummy. Molasses coffee cake was just ok, though. There were lots of delicious sounding pies generally. So five stars for the pie, but word of warning about the limited seating - there were a few people camped will out with laptops, which didn't leave much remaining space for us to sit and eat out goodies.
This place is such a gem. The pastries, pies and scones are phenomenal but I also just ordered a chocolate birthday cake which they do with advance notice and it was insanely delicious and beautiful and very affordable. Please note that the birthday sign and candles were added by me but the beautiful sugar flowers were provided by them
Purchased a strawberry rhubarb pie just before they are sadly closing. It was a big hit! My love to all employees. Good luck in the future!
Amazing pies and coffee. Have the pies to stay and they will warm them up for you. Faves - guava chess, bourbon pecan, all the fruit crumbles
Love this shop! Delicious selection of pies and baked goods, coffees, and ample seating. Free WiFi and a welcoming environment to sit and work or read. Interesting flavors
The Smoked Ham & Swiss Cheese scone was quite savory. From the looks of it, there are a lot of items on display that an epicurean can experience with pleasure.
A neighborhood gem that specializes in pie, with both sweet and savory options available. The staff is friendly and happy to give out recommendations. They also have a variety of other pastries available and offer a fairly popular chocolate bundt cake, but the pie is the star of the show. The blueberry apple pie is amazing, with a light and flaky crust. For those concerned, there is no lard in the crust: they use vegetable shortening.
Really great pies, and pretty good breakfast sandwiches. A bit pricey, but worth it.
Absolutely Delicious Treats and excellent service, only reason I didn't give 5stars is not a reason not to come and treat yourself... but the place is small and has limited seating.
