I'm here again for fresh fruit and vegetables smoothies. This time seem like the machine is broken-down and took so long to finish my order. The price is higher than another fresh juice place in the neighborhood, but it is the closest from my home. The cashier seems to be so sleepy but he still talk to me and answer me all questions.Food: 3/5
I’ve lived in the neighborhood for 16 years and I remember the day Grass Roots opened—and it did not disappoint and still doesn’t. It’s the best option for a fresh prepared salad, a well balanced smoothie, and a thirst quenching juice. They also have top notch dry goods, vitamins, and other things I always want to buy. Thank you Grass Roots Love this place.
Woooow I literally just came in and spent 120$ and received the worst attitude I’ve ever experienced anywhere to the point I wish I had my phone out. The employee this morning was awful and made me feel uncomfortable for buying so much stuff… weird right? Even double checked my receipt TWICE. I will NEVER go back here and will make sure no one I know goes back to this place. Fix the attitude of your workers, no one likes to start their day with shitty attitude after spending a lot of money. Will NEVER go back here, way way better juice spots with cheaper options. This place is stupid over priced. Wish I could put ZERO stars. Thanks for your attitude and starting a morning so pleasant! After spending 120$ she also charged me for a bag AND I tipped. I seriously hate this place.
Amazing spot for healthy smoothies and breakfast sandwiches! Super friendly staff. Also our dog’s favorite store since she gets a treat every visit!Food: 5/5
I came to Brooklyn to visit a friend that recommended this place, & I left pretty satisfied! I had a berry bomb & woman at register was very helpful, totally jolly, very knowledgeable of products, and had the playlist going! Thank you again for your exceptional service! till the next time!Food: 5/5
Grass Roots always hits the spot for me and my friends. I lived in the neighborhood a few years ago but moved to queens. When I was still in Brooklyn it was my go to for anything healthy. While i dont live nearby anymore, I miss the area and all my favorite spots and Grass Roots is at the top of my list of must-go-tos when im in the area. The people in the front are always helpful and give me great suggestions. The little shop feels so special and has the cutest options for gifts. The smoothies are bomb, the snacks are bomb, and of course the juices. My friend and I love their juices so much that when we are sick, we know exactly what to get and while we live far apart, she surprises me with get well juices from them.
Actually just went to pick up some Wooden Spoon herbs that I saw they retailed here. It retails for $29 generally you can get it at Whole Foods and some small businesses in NYC and was glad to see it being sold a little closer to me — but they have it priced at $58. That’s an insane markup. Juice tastes solid and fresh but now I don’t trust the pricing here.
I really love this place. I’ve been buying açai bowls from them for the last few months and they’re consistently delicious and reasonably priced considering the neighborhood. The staff is always super nice and quick with the food. It’s a cute, clean spot.
I made a mistake grabbing the wrong smoothie, it arrived the same time as my friends that was placed on the same order. I apologized and even offered to pay for the mistake and the employee seemed annoyed that she had to made another one. I felt really bad that the other customer had to wait which I why I offered to pay for it. I did NOT take the smoothie I ordered nor was it made yet seemed odd since my smoothie was ordered first so I wasn’t wasting their supplies or energy. She made me feel so terrible, I was trying to make it right and I was just given such an attitude. Maybe they should start attaching a name to the orders to make it easier.
This is my spot! I have been meaning to write a review forever. Everything is always fresh, portions are good, and they've got a great variety. I have tried pretty much everything in there and there hasn't been anything that I didn't like or love. Their baked goods are ridiculous and delicious. The peanut butter and chocolate chip cookies are my faves. Service is always friendly and they know how to treat their regulars as well as new customers. The mgr. Esther is the bessssst and she has a great crew. Small biz, local spots are few & far between and I'm glad Grass Roots is still a neighborhood staple and quality/service has stayed consistent. Vegetarian options: Also plenty of vegan options!
