I was a patient of Dr Diekroger’s for years. No one was better. Had issues with the new physician I chose over there, who I liked, Left about 6 messages for Jodi to return my calls, guess she was putting out other fires, to no avail. I left
Dr. Banks is a great Dr. taking care of all concerns and knowledgeable. Nurses are available to answer questions between visits. Seems like they have a good schedule so I can see them when I need even short notice.
Place has gone downhill since dr. Dekroger left. Went in to give blood for testing. Dr. Cesteros’ nurse had to be reminded by me… who has 0 medical background to use an alcohol swap before inserting the needle into my arm. She then proceeded to miss quite an obvious vein and wiggle the needle to no avail, second nurse was required and found the spot instantly. I then ask the nurse, and the dr. “When will these results be in”. Was told Wednesday by the nurses, Monday or Tuesday by the doctor and now on Thursday I call and the operator tells me it usually takes AT LEAST a week to get results… and they can’t help. Not sure what happened with management or the staff in general but this place is probably worth skipping if you enjoy easy medical visits and good customer service.
I called in to become a new patient and was informed that they do not see new patients with upper respiratory infections to go to the ER or an urgent care. The purpose of a primary care is to avoid going to urgent care - 1/10 wouldn’t recommend
I have been with PCP over a year and find the service excellent. From the front desk to the physicians assistants to my Dr., they are all attentive and helpful.
I tried to make an appointment and was told that because I have "dizziness," I cannot be seen in-office because that is listed on the COVID symptoms check-list. I get regular covid tests and am fully vaccinated. I offered to get a test before coming in and was told I still would not be seen in-office for this complaint. I do not feel that my request was handled well.
I have been with Primary Care Physician for the last 5 years . I have also been seeing Weeks Md who is very courteous and has great interpersonal skills and mild mannered unfortunately that is not case with the front staff and his nurse Erna . I called to get a colonoscopy referral since October to no avail . I called there three more times in the month of November and yet calls were not returned . Either the staff is overwhelmed or burnt out …. or they just cannot be bothered . This is very unprofessional and a waste of time . I generally do not complain for the sake of complaining but this is not how to run a business . I have already found another doctor .
The front staff needs to go or either have some extensive Customer Service training. I was there in March for an appointment 7:45 am, sat for over an hour when i approached the desk again to find out how much longer... the response was 'when did you arrive? i had to point to the sign in sheet and she just said sorry i must have gotten busy. When she called back to the Dr she apologized to the Dr because apparently she told her that I was not there when they inquired earlier where i was... The attitude of the people greatly patients is due some extensive reevaluation training or perhaps a job they are better suited away from actual people interactions. Dr and Nursing staff seemed to know the situation with the front line, which means either they don't care as well or have no influence on the reception of their patients. If i could give a zero i would. I would also like to suggest that they update their web page, I can't believe there are forms listed there that actually request to print out and fax or mail for various things including an appointment... Really people no one faxes... I am sure you can find a web designer at a local middle/high school that can update information for you and include a portal so i never have to call in again.
I wanted to post something positive - since my experience with PCP/ATL over the past 4+ years has looked very different from other negative posts. I have received very thorough and conservative and knowledgeable care from Dr. Doan and the staff here. They have always been able to get me in for a same day appt for acute needs & the level of care and attention I've received has been above and beyond my expectations! Most recently, the referral coordinator Michael, he's the best! spent over 40 minutes to get me into a rush CT scan on site at Northside. The rest of the support staff from when I make the call to get the appt through check out are always congenial and pleasant. When I've read some of the other reviews, I thought for sure that maybe the person making the post got mixed up and must've been writing about a different physician's office because I've received only superior attention from here. With my most recent health concern, Dr. Doan called me back two separate times to go over test results. I'm so grateful that I chose them to be my Primary Care provider and would HIGHLY suggest them!
I’ve been seeing Dr. Doan for a few years now. She is caring and makes me feel comfortable but isn’t afraid to drop some truth on you. I am hopeful about my ability to improve my health after meeting with her. Also she is very timely about getting my results back to me which I really appreciate since I am always anxious to see if I’m doing the right things! : Thank you, Dr. Doan.
