Dr. Shapiro is truly one of a kind doctor. His office staff is extremely nice as well. Dr. Shapiro will go out of his way to help you in whatever ways he can. Being treated by Dr. Shapiro, I have never felt more cared for, and in such great hands by any other doctor. If you’re looking for someone who listens, is thorough, and follows up, this is your guy. I’m so grateful to have met Dr. Shapiro and could never thank him in words for everything he’s done to help me get back to feeling myself.

I was a patient of Dr. Shapiro back in 2014, but recently I needed to get a hold of my medical records. I had to leave a couple of messages but was always called right back. The process of being directed to the correct people was so simple! I was never left on hold for longer than a minute and was never sent to an automated system. Jennifer in the records office is amazing and I was even able to speak to Dr. Shapiro himself!! I am highly impressed with the organization and professionalism of Dr. Shapiro and his office. HIGHLY recommend!!!

In my opinion, there are several qualities that every good doctor must have: compassion, understanding, empathy, honesty, competence, commitment, and respect. Dr. Shapiro has these qualities in spades. From my first visit with Dr. Shapiro, I felt a connection with him. I felt as though Dr. Shapiro was invested in my health and care. He was attentive. I never felt like I was "just another patient." Dr. Shapiro made me feel like a priority each time I met with him and I continue to see Dr. Shapiro. Dr. Shapiro was thoughtful in his explanations; I trust him immeasurably. He truly wanted to make sure I understood exactly what he was saying. If you are looking for a doctor whose medical knowledge is comprehensive, who treats the whole person, and who takes the time to be compassionate yet direct, then Dr. Shapiro would be an excellent choice. We should all be so fortunate to have a doctor like Dr. Shapiro in our lives. I am glad I do.

Dr. Shapiro is the best GI doctor that I have been a patient to. He is attentive, takes his time, truly listens, he is knowledgeable, pragmatic, and kind. It took me 8 years to finally make the jump from the same practice to Dr. Shapiro and I wish I had not waited so long.

Dr. Shapiro is an awesome GI doctor and an even better person, his energy is calming and his demeanor professional while still welcoming. He helped my mother while she was admitted at St Joseph’s Hospital the procedure he performed went smooth and I was reassured by his knowledge. I advise everyone to choose this GI MD !

Dr Shapiro is a wonderful Dr he is attentive . When I first met him he showed his his concern for my issues. I had internal bleeding and the other doctors thought I would have to be transferred to Emory downtown but it would take time. Dr Shapiro offered to do a endoscopy to try to stop the bleeding he went in and it was a success. He is an awesome doctor. I would definitely recommend his office

Dr.Shapiro is the best!!! He has helped me manage my crohns for the last 2 years through needing to switch medications to accommodate my life goals! He has provided excellent care and gone above and beyond any other doctor I have ever had! I highly recommend Dr. Shapiro if you are looking for a doctor who truly cares about you as a person and not just another patient!

Absolutely Not. I’d leave 0 Stars if possible. This “specialist”…Sat with me for all of 5 minutes, while placing his cell phone in full view…and answered 2 Text Messages. Did not have a clue of what might cause symptoms, suggested immediately a Colonoscopy, deferring to a CATScan upon my own preemptive decision. CATScan by another company resulted in clear results, never I visited doctor again…due to only providing these results via Text Message. Paid $56 for a New Patient visit initially….but given a bill total of $265 -minus an incorrect Insurance applied adjustment. His own website claims New Patients NOT filing Insurance pay $200…..I had Insurance, billed $265. Also no one at his Billing agency/Office Staff knew what billing categories were for or their pricing reasons. Doctor himself claimed it was result of Medical System we live in, but 3 times stated he himself chose the New Patient Category Level for additional charge. Completely Inept “specialist/doctor”. Avoid at all cost.

Dr. Shapiro has been very helpful working through my autoimmune diagnosis, and his attention and care has allowed me to manage my condition without drugs. He's also very kind, you can tell he cares about you as a person and finding the right path of care for you.

To start off, this man saved my life. After going through countless other doctors that just wanted to immediately put meme their go to medicine without thinking, I was able to find Dr. Shapiro. He actually cares and takes the time to solve your issues. At the same time he understands the urgency of the situation is able to act accordingly. I could not recommend him enough.
