I had my 2008 Ultra less than a year, with less than 9,000 miles on it, and it wouldn't start. I checked for spark and it had spark. When I put a teaspoon of gas into each cylinder, it started briefly. I figured it was either a fuel filter or fuel injector. I called Paul on a Monday morning, he picked it up Tuesday. I heard nothing for 3 days, which I assumed was because he was busy. Friday morning, I drove to his shop. There were alot of bikes, 1-2 dozen waiting to be looked at. Paul was chatting with an elderly man, like he had all the time in the world. He told me he drained my tank and found a cracked regulator. I told him I had left messages for him, never heard back, and I would appreciate more communication. Saturday morning, approx. 9:00am, he called and said he was going to replace the fuel filter and the regulator. I asked him how long he thought it might be. He said, sooner than I'd think. At 3:00pm (Saturday) he called and said my bike was ready. Total cost $405 which I thought was fair. That included the $60 for pick-up. The one thing I didn't appreciate was, he clipped 3 LED wires, instead of taking 5 minutes to unplug them, which took me and hour of splicing to fix. (Kind of a "hack job"). But overall, I was satisfied. It only took 4 days, and that was nice! The Harley dealer said they wouldn't be able to look at it till the following week.

Went in for routine maintenance and was talked into a cam upgrade. Had to go back 4 times because the bike didn’t run right, and in the end it still wasn’t right. I’m not a wrencher, and Paul straight lied about a lot of things. 1) It was a new-to-me bike that already had an aftermarket cam, 2) he never divulged it would require a dyno tune afterward (another $500), 3) it NEVER ran right after he touched it.
Three years later and a lot of talking to people trying to figure out the noise/issue, I dropped the money to take a deep look. Outcome: catastrophic engine wear. Gear fragments throughout the entire system caused by a hack job on the cams. Looking at a new engine and 7k.
Paul gave me a sleezy feel from the start and I should have listened to my gut. Never wrote anything down, work was always late, changed the story about what was needed, and loved to tell old stories about shady dealings. I also know three other riders Paul has screwed over. Do yourself a favor, stay away from this shop, and Paul. He’s a piece of work.

There may be no more knowledgeable motorcycle mechanic in the Twin Cities area than Paul. If you have a Gold Wing, there is none better. Give Paul a call and have him service your bike and see what I mean.

Paul did a great job building my custom. Great to work with, gets it done when he says he will (rare!) and is very fair cost-wise. Highly recommend.

Had some carb work done and a tuning completed. Paul was great to work with and very knowledgeable. Work was completed when he said it would and in a timely manner.
