Reviews
Easy-going, generous staff.
I bought a used BMW r1200 and was eager to drive it on first sunny MN day. Unfortunately, the bike was low on oil and the previous owner hadn't included the special wrench required to add oil. (great design.) I stopped in late afternoon, the guys took a quick look at the bike, topped me off, and refused to let me pay them for the trouble. Great vibe, great staff. I'll definitely be back.

Absolute garbage, talked to the guy clearly about what the problem was and what needed to be done about it over the phone. Ryan tells me go ahead and bring it over!
Next day I have my father help me carfuly load it into my SUV and bring engine in. Then I get told that it's going to cost upwards of about $1,000 after I was quoted around $400 over the phone, of course after I was told that I was upset. Without hesitation immediately Ryan then decided to kick my engine, and drag it outside in the snow. He then dropped it on to its side. picked it up and threw it into my car, damaging the vehicle and told me to get my s*** and get the F out......
That made things very personal. I value and take care of my things, and that is the reason why I wanted professionals working on the engine.
Ryan (the owner) then decided to then call my work (I had mistakenly told him how I work close by) and tell them that I was going crazy at his shop, trying to get me in trouble/ fired...This was a low move and did not work. should have expected something like this.
UPDATE
After seeing this review Ryan continually called my work trying to harass me. I finally decided to call the police and have them talk to him about harassment....
To get an Idea of how PETTY, VENGEFUL, and IRRATIONAL this "business owner"' is, here are some examples:
#1. To respond defensively, and specifically to negative reviews on sites like this ** . To me just shows a special.... refusal to accept how someone viewed there experience at your place on "business".
#2 This man continues to call, my work and attempts to have a personal business arrangement "gone bad" interfere with my employment( to remind everyone I was off the clock, nor wearing a uniform).
#3 Not just google, but every review site with Blue Cat Motorcycle listed is full of its share of horror stories from good people getting treated like dirt.
In the end, I just really wish I had the thought in my head to record the incredible scenario that played out. Also read all the other bad reviews beforehand.

Great shop with an awesome crew. Honest, knowledgable, and accountable. I've had work done by them as well as stopped by to ask for information while attempting to do some of my own repairs. They took time out of their day to make sure I was informed enough to complete the task.
They specialize in repairing motorcycles not humans. 😉

In my experience, these guys are helpful, friendly, knowledgeable, and I never felt like they were trying to squeeze every cent out of me. They are, however, very busy during peak season, and you'll have a better experience if you're proactive about calling them if you haven't heard from them after the time frame when they said your bike would be done. Similarly, if you store your bike there for the winter and ask for some work to be done during that time, it's best to confirm that when you call to tell them you'd like to pick up your bike in the spring.
I've been looking for several years for a full-service motorcycle shop where I'm treated with respect (even though I'm far from an expert on motorcycles) and where I don't feel like I'm just a cash machine to the mechanic. It became clear to me that Blue Cat was what I was looking for this spring, when a mysterious fuel line issue kept killing my bike but could never be replicated in the shop. Ryan never doubted the issue, and patiently tried several times to diagnose the issue. One time my bike killed a few blocks from the shop, and he left the shop to come over to help me get it started back up. When we finally figured out what was going on (a fuel line/tank pressure issue; basically, if I keep at least half a tank, I have no problems), he didn't try to charge me for the diagnostic time, and he didn't try to push an unnecessary and expensive repair on me, even though he certainly could have. (To be clear, they may charge for diagnostics sometimes. I don't want to give anyone unrealistic expectations.)
Bottom line: Ryan was committed to solving the problem with my bike, not just focused on getting my money. And for that, Blue Cat has earned a loyal customer from here on out.
