This is Lisa posting, not Richard! Like so many other customers, my experience with Sarah was simply wonderful. She is a brilliant artist. I am so happy with my revised short cut. She truly earned her fee with me. Since moving to London 18 months ago, I’ve been going to quite a posh and pricey salon where the stylist just didn’t know how to cut short hair well and seemed unable to implement any requests I made. I always left that studio feeling like I spent too much for the results I got. After my last cut there 3 months ago, my hair cut was a disastrous, shapeless embarrassment. And then I found Sarah!!! She listened to my experiences, assessed the state of my hair and went to work to restore a style with which I’d always been happy. With Sarah’s skills, I feel like myself again! How I wish I had looked for and found her sooner!! Thank you, Dear Sarah. I shall return!!

Simply the BEST!  I had been in London just over 2 years and had one hair disaster after another until I found Sarah.  Sarah has completely transformed by hair and is the ONLY person I will let approach with a pair of scissors or hair colour.  Not only did she manage to fix the mistakes of salons before, but she did so in a very considered way to minimise damage to my hair and ended up giving me a long-lasting result that I love and that is easy to maintain!  I cannot emphasize enough what a gem of a salon this is!

Irene  hope that's how to spell her name is an amazing stylist. She has given me a beautiful cut and loads of blow dry tips. I have fine hair which I don't love, but she made me feel really comfortable with it and gave me a cut that has given tonnes of volume. Highly recommend.

I've been having my hair done exclusively at London Proper since its opening and can't rate Sarah highly enough. We have completely restyled my hair, and I am able to totally trust her judgement! The contemporary style of the salon is also a real selling point for me. This is the best salon I've been to in London, and you simply must give it a try!

This was the best haircut I’ve had in years in London. Sarah is a total professional, with real attention to detail and an obvious passion for all things hair. The salon also carries my favourite brand of products Oribe which is what attracted me to it in the first place. The price might be steeper than other places in the neighbourhood, but it is worth it if you want a high quality experience. Loved the clean, minimal space too—I don’t need lattes or prosecco with my haircut, I just want a spectacular job done. And that’s exactly what I got. Thanks Sarah!

Terribly overpriced for a poor service by Sarah. I can’t speak for the other stylists, but considering her expertise, the cut quality was extremely poor. My hair was cut unevenly and was made to feel quite uncomfortable upon asking for adjustments. Do not waste your money!

I went to this salon based on the reviews here on TW but also I liked the bios on the salon website. I knew I needed someone to give me a consultation about my hair colour and what it needed, so I didn’t want to go to a salon where you have to sometimes tell the professionals what you think is best; rather I needed the trained experts to tell me.  Sarah was amazing. She took the time to talk to me and we went through a process which resulted in me being really happy with the end result. I booked 4 hours so we had the time to try things but everything she did, I loved! It’s more natural looking now, I loved how she dried and styled it and I’ll definitely be back again as I think I could have found my new fav salon in London....not easy to do! Thank you Sarah!

A fantastic salon with cute interiors and friendly staff.  I was really happy to find this salon. They had the cheapest bleach prices that I was able to find in the area. They were also very happy to squeeze me in on short notice on the very same day.  Staff were super friendly and worked efficiently. Will definitely be returning!

Today I visited the salon for the first time,  and I cant thank enough to Irene for the wonderful blow dry.It won't be exaggerating to say THE BEST blow dry ever!!  She understood  rare quality nowadays  what I want and delivered it perfectly. Despite the bad weather, even after 10hrs, my hair looks as good as when I left the salon. I had been to another salon the day before where balayage was asked and they did highlights looking like outgrown highlights. I had yellow highlights looking absolutely terrible. I called to check if this salon had any appointment that day and luckily they did. Gemma consulted me about what I wanted and we decided to go for toning to remove the yellow and also toning for the roots to make the highlights less visible. I am so pleased I went here and Gemma was so professional. I will be returning the next time I need something done to my hair.
