Pura Vida Restaurant Costa Rican Cuisine

This place was absolutely one of the friendliest places I have been! This gentleman and his family are the kindest hosts! The food there was delicious! I am still stunned thinking about this place! The portions are a little on the small side, but it is like home! Home cooking at its absolute finest! Thank you so much for your hard work and dedication.

This restaurant is one of the best I have ever encountered. The food is so fresh, and delicious; all made on premises. The owner is Pura Vita personified. If you want to try outstanding food, meet the friendliest people, and learn a little about the Costa Rican culture this IS the PLACE!

This was one of the best experiences I've had dining out in a LONG time. From the moment we step through that door we were family. We picked our seat, our WONDERFUL host explained the meals to us, explained they were completely fresh and homemade. Halfway through our meal, he welcomed us for our first time here by serenading us with a wonderful song with guitar. The food just tasted like something you would eat on a cold day at home. It was so wonderful. Please come eat here.

This place is amazingly charming. We went based on some online 5 star reviews. Upon arriving, we discovered that their menu mentions that if you give it a 5 star, they will give you a free dessert. So, we almost felt duped when we arrived, thinking that it might actually be terrible. The place was empty when we arrived. However, the owner quickly came out with a huge grin on his face to greet us. He was most pleasant and helpful explaining the menu. We ordered several things to share so we could try several dishes. A few others came in while we were eating, they were clearly regulars. While we ate, the owner happily started playing guitar and entertaining. It was a very fun eating experience, pleasant, and delicious. Food was very good and from what my friends who have been to Costa Rica have said, authentic. I will definitely return for more!

Great food, great friendly people. The deep fried bananas are amazing. This was my 1st Costa Rican experience and i loved it.
