Have taken my pup here about four times. The initial decision to go here was because it’s the closest grooming near my house, however they do an excellent job and my pup comes out looking rather fly every time.
I have been taking my Golden Retriever there for the last three visits. Staff are friendly and they are willing to hear my questions and requests. So far I had a different groomer every time but the results were the same, happy dog and happy owner. They also have a mobile service. A bit more costly...almost double the price. But it was worth it in an emergency situation.
TERRIBLE experience and customer service! The manager defends the groomer’s misconduct, miscommunication, and misunderstanding of the services required. My dog was completely shaved down to the wrong length of hair, with unevenness/ divots in the hair length. It looks like she came out of a hospital procedure and has the doctors shave her entire body with the exception of her head. I had told the groomer it was OK to cut off the matted areas in the hidden areas behind the arms and ears and cut that to a shorter length, but she literally buzzed the entire body off to that length when she wasn’t even that matted. I brush my dogs hair daily. Look at the before and after photos for yourself. Nails were not properly trimmed, and the manager didn’t even care. She just said that the groomer spent three hours on the groom and it was not refundable. Terrible customer service and final look. Never going back there again.
Naomi is wonderful as always, we followed her all the way from Alameda. The staff are also sweet and loving with my 2 pups. Clean and professional
I loved & recommended this place to many doodle owners, but not any longer. They switched dogs during the grooming process! My mini bernedoodle was in for a bath, but they switched him with a standard bernedoodle who was there for a full haircut. They apologized when it was time for pickup, and tried to play it off that it was close to the haircut my dog would normally get, and they would only charge me for the bath we had booked. There's no excuse for switching dogs during an appointment!
They do a great job! I highly recommend this groomer
I’ve tried other places including Petsmart grooming which was the worst. Quality Pet Spot is amazing! they do a really good job they’re not cheap but you get great grooming for your dog. The people who work there are extremely friendly and they know exactly what your pet needs and also offer advice.
The short story- they mutilated my dog. Read on for details. I left my dogs at the Willow Glen location for bath and paw trim. My boy was agitated on pick-up. The groomer said he was unruly. I apologized, paid and left. I soon noticed that they cut his tail, shaved fur off his legs and his belly was shaven to the skin with razor burn. I called to complain that I hadn’t asked for any clipping except his feet. I spoke to the groomer who said it was a miscommunication and that the cut was normal for the breed. I left my big dog to calm down, but I wanted to get pictures of the bad grooming. He’s a happy dog but when I tried to pet him, he winced. What I found horrified me. He had red, inflamed, bloody wounds down his neck, back, sides and tail. I took pictures and scheduled a vet visit. The vet agreed that the wounds were caused by the grooming with either a razor or a brush repeatedly ripping out his fur and skin. After several calls and messages, I received a call from a female manager who apologized and admitted what had happened was horrible. She refunded the cost of the grooming and agreed to cover the vet bill. She offered to have him gently groomed, but I declined as it would be cruel to ever take him back there, which she understood. When asked about the groomer, she said he had used the excuse that he was misbehaving. As you can imagine, I was livid and inquired if it was their policy to take their anger out on unruly dogs and abuse them. She apologized and backpedaled. When I suggested that such an individual should not work with animals, she said he would be spoken to and retrained. I cannot imagine the torture it must have been for my boy to have to endure his fur and skin being ripped out until he was bleeding. It breaks my heart that I took him there and wasn’t there to stop the pain. Although I do not want to vilify the entire business for the actions of one person, the other employees were present while this happened. No one stopped it. No one called me or investigated why he was misbehaving. It sickens me.
