Never rent a property managed by Quantum. My building has been without a dedicated manager for months. We were denied rent reduction or compensation during 6 months of construction inside our unit to replace the entire exterior wall in downtown Portland. I have experienced nothing but negligence and profit seeking at my expense. Quantum: do not respond saying to get in touch - I have reached out multiple times to no avail.
This company is a very hands off company, they refuse to get involved in matters of tenant safety, and in a city where the police refuse to do their jobs, this is completely unacceptable. They expect you to fill out Incident Reports that they refuse to make available to their tenants, and even when the tenants are reporting in other manners, refuse to get involved. This company does not belong managing rental properties, if your an owner of a rental property please consider a different management company as they will not get involved even if it includes tenants destroying property.
I applied to a property of theirs was told by a manager that was trying to cut corners that I had an apartment there once it was done getting built. Now there is a new manager and she sent my paperwork in to get approved and a week later still no word. My young family have been living with relatives for 8m now and have long outstayed our welcome. This is frustrating because we thought all we had left to do was sign the lease and move in. I have tried being patient with them. We even have a a foundation helping us try to get an apartment down payment, first 2 months rent up front so I don't see why this is taking so long when it should have already been done in the first place. This is the second rental management company I have had major isues with.
I have been terrorised by my neighbor with a speaker blasting high pitched squeal through my apartment 24 -7. Management, Pinehurst Property management, said they are well aware of the problem but have been told by the property owners, sheltercare, to do nothing about it. For 7 months I have tried every agency I could find and they all say it's the property managers to deal with it. I have a letter from my doctor saying with my conditions this may well cause me a heart attack as an ambulance has already been here to slow my heart down. When asked why they haven't moved me to another apartment the manager said "it would do no good because they're going to do this anywhere you go."There is more to this story and it all leads to sheltercare. I make my rent checks to you. Why is this still going on? I've complained to you before with no response.
I am so very thankful and blessed for Jesse and David here at Market District Commons! Jesse is wonderful at communicating, and he has been very responsive for the times I have emailed him. David is a wonderful maintenance worker, who not only knows his stuff but is very polite and professional as well!!
Fishers Mill Apartments My car got towed, you tell me if i'm crazy. I had reached out to the office requesting a parking permit after selling my previous car that had the sticker on it. I called, emailed absolutely no responds, per my lease the permit is to be provided by the office. I had to pay a almost $400 tow fee when i shouldn't of been towed in the first place had the office communicated and provided the permit. Also just like to note that their are work trucks without permits in this lot that haven't moved in weeks but they tow my car..? After my car was towed I went to the office and waited for them to show up. Office worker says that it was towed because i didn't have a permit i explain my side, she says I would need to leave the office. I said can i have my permit so my car wont get towed again. She said i would need to leave the office before she called the cops. I was not mean i did not yell i simply asked for what i had already been asking for. Overall disappointed in how this whole thing was handled. The office should of reached out or been helpful on who to contact instead of walking away and not dealing with the problem. Please feel free to see my other reviews on Fishers Mill, it includes photos.
1.5 months after I moved in, they increased my rent without any notice or communication. 6 months after I had been dutifully paying all my monthly dues including the extra amount above lease amount, they gave me a written notice saying my lease ends in 3 months, and I could either renew the lease with another increased rent or move out. After I followed the instructions to move out, they came to me asking for early termination fees saying my lease was for another 3 months, and just outright said their notices, mails, residential profiles on my lease end dates were all wrong but they don't matter. I've been asking the management these questions and heard no answer: 1. Is it right for a property to increase its tenant's rent of a fixed-term lease after just 1.5 months into residency, without any notice or communication? 2. Is it right for a property to use a notice with a wrong lease end date to attempt to increase its tenant's rent for a 2nd time within the same fixed term? 3. Is it right for a property to force the early termination fee on a tenant when the tenant followed the notice and step-by-step instructions to move out? 4. Is there no consequence at all for a property manager to send out a wrong notice which caused its tenant 3 months of planning and arrangements, and just wipe it off saying "they are wrong but they don't matter"?
