A neighborhood gem! Incredible coffee and all kinds of Turkish snacks
We are extremely lucky to have this wonderful, international market in a neighborhood that still skews heavily North American. The owner redesigned the store and added sidewalk plants, tables and books. You can buy foods from all along the Med., including bulgar, grape leaves, fresh figs, and tahinah. Everyone who works there is friendly and they have the most affordable and genuine cup of coffee in the area. With QVFM at this end of the block and Alyan's anchoring the other end, 4th Street is a mecca if you are homesick for the Med. or just love Middle Eastern food.
So glad you're open again!
This is one of the best market.I did not see even one person, customer or associate, not wearing a mask.As usual, the store is clean and well-stocked. They have amazing produce and wonderful deals and prices on them. They have a good selection of Turkish brand ,vegetarian and vegan options available and healthy, delicious and fresh sandwich choices here that you can't really find anywhere else. Easy to find what you need. Plus, the kind and helpful staff Aybike and Essraf is always around and happy to assist you.
Convenient little corner grocery store right off South Street around 4th. Stopped in to grab a can of Monster while roaming about the neighborhood and noticed that the aisle signs listed Greek food, Turkish food, and quite surprisingly, Israeli food! But when I scanned the shelves to see what they carried in the way of Israeli edibles, the selection was sparse. Either way, they get 4 stars for convenience, location, and international selections you wouldn't find elsewhere.
Turkish strong coffee LOVE THIS
Infested with roaches and a cat colony lives in basement where they store all the food. I've seen temperatures on refrigerators very high where they keep there produce and dairy products. I usually come here for drinks and I saw the roaches in the Coke cooler, never going back again.
Fancy grocery store with amazing products and friendly stuff
Hit or miss. I dont buy their deli food. Everythings overpriced.
Try Turkish baklava if you get a chance to stop by. It's imported and, guess what, delicious!!
