OLD motel turned poorly into a Ramada. When they half-a$$ remodeled this place they didn’t spend much AT ALL. The restroom/shower was old and smelly. No dryer in the room. Old hallways inside, to get to your room you will need to go outside. Charged $200/night because it was Balloon Fiesta weekend yet they had no consideration for the event since they didn’t change the breakfast hours as other hotels did I know some opened breakfast at 5am instead if the usual 6:30 bc they know the balloon festival starts VERY early in the morning Our second night the lobby was closed off with a sign that said “closed from 9-6:30 please use front door” The night before it was opened until late like a normal lobby should be. We moved the beds and they had old dust from years ago. The sink was sort of clogged. The only good thing was the bed, it was comfy and smelled like bleach even though we always take our own sheets/blankets/pillows. All in all, they did not remove the dirty motel feel from this place.
I have stayed at this location twice. My wife has stayed 3 times. The rooms are not bad for the price. The location and proximity to the airport is really nice. Now for the complaint. Apparently breakfast ends at 9:30. My wife had stopped by the front office on her way out at 10 am. She had not had breakfast. There were a pile of bagels that were still out from breakfast and she grabbed one. This resulted in her being chastised by staff, because breakfast was over. Ok staff, you win. technically you are correct. Breakfast had ended. But let me ask, what did her taking a bagel hurt you? Oh let me answer that, it lost you our business. We have need now to come through on a regular basis. We will find somewhere else that understands that customer service is more important that your need to prevent people from getting bagels after your "breakfast hours" have ended. YOU CAN POUND SAND WITH YOUR PETTY BEHAVIOUR!
Close proximity to the airport but as other comments has said it is starting to be a little rough around the edges. My main issue was the fire alarm that went off at 3:40 in the morning. I asked the front desk lady via phone at the front door and she just said that it happens sometimes and it was only smoke and not to worry about it… l think a good night sleep in a hotel should be something to worry about.
I have been considering writing this review for months. I have been urged by employees and guests at the Ramada to write this review, as well. There is a racist. old woman who controls the breakfast kitchen at the Ramada Airport. Her obvious distaste for "old white men" is evident when she's all sweetness and light with Hispanics, helping them, serving them, laughing with them. When I or another "old white man" comes in for the complimentary breakfast her attitude immediately changes to one of subtle and not-so-subtle hostility. Comments flow out of her like "there's no more food - when there obviously is or "it's 9:15 and we're closed" - when actually the website indicates breakfast is served until 9:30. She makes the Anglo men wait and wait, until out of frustration, they ask to be served. She makes them wait longer while chatting up the Hispanic guests as she serves them, eventually throwing a child's serving size of food on "old white men's" plates, turning her back to them. She maintains her hostility when one asks for a bit more. I have had several encounters with the troll-at-the-door and every one was as distasteful as the substandard, corporate "food" she dishes out.
I hope I can give 0 star! This hotel even does not have a HAIR DRYER. Without hair dryer, why do you still have a bath room??? The front desk manager Steven is very rude. They promise to get us one for 2nd night, But at 2nd day they changed to say they cannot offer one. And they hanged up my phone twice! PLEASE DO NOT CHOOSE IT.
Service was great and friendly. Breakfast was good. Rooms are a little ruined down and need to be maintained. Bed slept well!Rooms: 4/5
Went to check in, lobby was a mess. Got my key to the room and walked through the back of the lobby and a large spill of coffee on the floor in the main walk way. It was there all 3 days that I was there. The rest of the common area to the rear exit and stairs was carpet. I have never seen such filthy carpet, just gross. Leaves, debris, etc in the area. Walkways to the room were filthy. A good steam clean or pressure wash would help. Got into the room, looked like the door had been kicked in before. The bed and bath were clean or I would have left. The floor was filthy. I walked through the room with just white socks which were black within a few steps. I went to the office to ask about the breakfast buffet which most hotels have. They didn't have one but said they could make me a breakfast bag to go. I ended up having breakfast next door which was good. I asked about in-room coffee maker. There were cups but no coffee maker. The desk clerk said that they were in the process of replacing the units. I asked for one but never received one. I asked for a blow dryer but never received one. This could be a nice property as its location is very close to the airport, but until they clean up this pig pen, I could not recommend a stay here as there are so many better options in the immediate area. What a shame. Management and/or corporate should really do something to clean up this mess, it is a terrible representation of Ramada and the Wyndam collection of hotels.
When I use to think of Ramada I though that it was a 3-star Hotel I thought of quality at a fair price. I was indeed bamboozled. Our room had hair all over the sheets, towels it seemed that someone got a trim on the sheets, and didn’t bother to clean.. the cleaning lady didn’t even bother checking the sheets.. The curtains had grape or wine splattered all over them looking like a Hitchcock movie was filmed in the room. The walls were banged and scuffed up, our phone didn’t work, the refrigerator was missing, or coffee maker was missing. When we asked if they could replace the sheets, the cleaning lady just handed us the sheets, she didn’t even bother asking us if she could make them. I don’t care about some of the appliances missing but they did advertise saying the rooms are fully accommodated. I feel embarrassed, and ashamed for the price I paid for this room, and service. Never again will I stay at the Ramada. The reviews are real folks! Please, please read the reviews even if its a popular hotel.
Not bad! The area is ok. Real close to some really good restaurants! Room was better than expected. Kid who checked me in was nice and professional. Noisy neighbors. Questionable quests. Pool was ok, small but didn’t go swimming anyway. Glad my last hotel wasn’t a waste of like the previous ones
I was surprised that the hot tub wasn't working but the pool was still open and it was nice. Nothing to extravegent. No towels poolside and no one else was out there either. And the room was big but the shower which was handycap accessible was not made correctly and water just soaked the bathroom floor. Which I cleaned but used all their towels. Which I know they weren't happy about.. but I would stay again!!!!!
