The food we ordered was amazing ! For appetizers we got fried meatballs. The meatballs themselves were delicious but they were too small for our liking. For our entree we ordered the bougee Ben burger. The avocado was an extra charge don’t remember how much. The burger was juicy, flavorful and filling. The fries were also really yummy. We also had refills on our soft drinks. Highly recommend. If I could, I would give it a 4.5 because of their seating. It was a bit cramped, everyone can over hear each others conversation. Overall, definitely one of the best burgers we’ve had. We can’t wait to come back! Price: $90 without tip Ambiance: Dim lights, tavern feel. Waitress: She was really kind and attentive. **edit** they recently updated their menu. So some items you might see from Other Older reviews might not be available when you arrive there.
Tucked away in the Kimpton Hotel Monaco, this little gem of a spot really packed a flavorful punch! I really enjoyed the wedge salad with chicken. The Tavern Burger was cooked perfectly and so very flavorful! Of course the Whiskey on the rocks was a nice addition to this meal. They have a very large selection of whiskeys from all over the world and labeled as such! Staff was attentive and kind.
The waiter was very thorough and was great with the service!! The atmosphere was very nice. A bistro setting. Upscale and has a rustic tavern look to it. The appetizers; perogis, were made in house. The short rib gnocchi were out of this world delicious! The lamb fell right off the bone! It was a great food experience!
I enjoyed a great brunch with my honey! The waiter was great, the food was good, and the drinks were divine. I tried their seasonal blackberry cider; it was refreshing and tasty. My husband had their seasonal guava IPA; he said it was fruity and full of flavor. We shared the grilled cheese with brisket; it was the best sandwich I had in a long time. I wish they were open for dinner; unfortunately, they are close on Sundays at 3 pm please reconsider. Overall, it was a great experience, and we will be back!
This was my first time coming here and I really enjoyed this experience. I will be getting the charred octopus appetizer again! The Mad Botanist Cocktail was so good that I had to get another one. My friend also loved her perogies and sangria. The lighting offers a mystique vibe and our waitress was incredible!
I got my order to go as it was just a short walk back to my hotel. I ordered a drink expecting it to take a while, but my order came pretty quickly. The fries were crispy and well seasoned. The burger was only slightly pink that's how I like them and very juicy. Bun was tasted just right. The burger toppings and sauce made it all come together. My only complaint is that it was pricey, in my opinion, over $20. But i guess for downtown Philadelphia it was on par. Pleasant staff, clean, food food, and quick. I would eat here again.
Decent place with some quite good food. Service was good and the location is nice. Unfortunately everything was very sweet, including there special sauce. That is then only thing that we seriously disliked. Everything else was good. If you don't mind sweet food it is a great place.
Service was great. Our waitress was prompt and engaging. Food was really good, but not off the charts. Would recommend the pork belly burnt ends and the bolognese. Burger was way over seasoned. Nice selection of whiskeys.
Stopped in here to warm up for a bit. It was a Monday evening and the restaurant was busy but my sister and I were still seated right away. I ordered the French onion bisque and it was tasty. Prices are high here, but from my small taste, it is quality stuff. Parking: There's is a parking garage on 4th street and Chestnut. Search for Bourse Parking Garage.
Staff was friendly and helpful, Food was delicious. A bit pricey. I had the bougee Ben burger and wedge salad. The angry crab fried were amazing. From 4 to 5 it was very busy and noisy.
