Red River Fish Hatchery

Great place to take out family to fish. Most of the time, you'll catch your limit of fish. Also a great place to get away from town and enjoy the quietness of the mountains.

Awesome experience!! Feed the fish, then go to the pond and the kids fished!! Great job keeping the property up.

We went here to see what it was like. It had some very big areas that you can't go in but can look through a fence wall. Love of fish in these areas. At the beginning there was a cement pond that held huge fish. You could feed them if you had a quarter and someone remembered to fill up the machine. We had two quarters but only one got food. The other quarter put in and no food. But the food we did get was inhaled. Yes you follow this cement trail around this area to end in a building with an educational room. There were no brochures in the boxes but there was some pictures with writing so you did get a little history. In all it was a nice short adventure that costs nothing unless you wanted to feed some fish.

Been going to the fish hatchery for ten years fishing the river that runs through. Never a disappointment. The hatchery itself is neat to check out and very interesting. Fishing is usually good and limit out.
