Founded in 1996 by Regina Held, Remarque - New Grounds is a resource for artists who wish to study and practice traditional printmaking techniques such as etching, gravure, monotype and relief printing. We offer affordable access to printmaking equipment and year-round classes. Remarque - New Grounds has won awards for its contributions to the Albuquerque art community, and it was one of the first completely non-toxic printmaking studios in the world. New Grounds also sells printmaking supplies, offers framing, custom printing and curating services. Publication: New Grounds – The Handbook for Non-Toxic Printmaking, written by Regina Held and Ray Maseman.
Connected to the workshop is Remarque - New Grounds Gallery which features original prints - both traditional and contemporary – by member artists and a selected group of international printmakers. Exhibitions rotate every four weeks and usually open during Albuquerque’s popular First Friday Artscrawl.
