Unlikely to all other experiences in NYC the service was unpleasant. Unfriendly discussion on facts as deposit and closing time on the app from Sigthseeing Pass the closing was scheduled at 8 p.m. as so on the website of the company itself. But the lady told that she closes 3rd week of September on 6p.m. and that we will be charged with a fee when we deliver the bikes later than 5.30 p.m. Unpleasant but not the biggest issue, that was the situation with the bikes. I rented six bikes. From 2 of them the tires were almost flat. Which leads to a discussion with the person responsible for that if he wants to inflate the tires. Where he’s was saying that it was sufficient. Breaks were not adjusted en using the gears was also difficult on a couple of bikes. No, not again…..
I’m a New Yorker for life and understand that NYers can have a stern tone that could sound disrespectful but I can assure you the people at this bike rental place are absolutely disrespectful and rude. They don’t really care for your business and will try to talk down to you if you don’t take a stand. I rather take a NYC bike than rent from these people. This place makes me mad because they enhance the negative stereotype to foreigners who come to visit the city.
Worst experience ever !!!!!! The lady at the reception should really change her job, she is very unpleasant. The bikes were defective. We pay 3 hours of rental to have the bikes only 1 hour, it's shameful. No refund has been offered. Run away !!
Could not have been worse. Waited an hour plus for the bikes I reserved online a month before. I had to insist on helmets for myself and my kids. They only gave us 1 lock, saying we could use it for all 4 bikes. No, it was not long enough, so we could not stop to see any of the sites in Central Park. I don't understand the disorganization of the different locations. With my 3 small kids, walking our bikes .7 of a mile down busy 5th Ave and back just to get the CP was scary and ridiculous when there are locations at the entrance to the park. But they will not allow you to return to the other locations. Paid and planned for 6 hours exploring CP, instead returned after 3 since we couldn't stop anywhere, then walked back to return. The office itself is chaotic, the workers difficult to understand, and yelling at each other in another language.
Very poor quality rental bike, no hat and lock offered and appalling customer service. I was looking forward to a day off and a bike ride along the river. I hired a bike for the days from this outfit. Immediately I saw that the bike was very old and and tyres needed more air. I pointed this out but the tyres were not pumped up. I was not given the hat or chain as promised on the website. I cycled for about an hour up the cycle lane on the Hudson River and had a flat tyre. We called them and no one picked up. I was facing a long walk with a flat tyre and I needed to bring the bike back by 5. Luckily I had the bike tyre fixed at the Pedego on 125th street, who incredibly courteous and efficient. I cycled the bike back and they refused to reimburse me for changing the tyre, even after speaking to the manager. Shocking treatment and I would never use this company again or recommend it to anyone.
Enjoyed our bike experience with this company . Convenient location. Close to Central Park. Friendly and quick service.
You can easily book a bike online. Nice and quick service. Had a great time in Central Park. Thank you
Kate served is perfectly. We booked 5hours . It was so great we even a reservation for the next day ! Definitely recommend this!
I'm not sure if it is because we purchased groupons, but the staff was not friendly, the bikes we were given were old and not in very good shape. The bike I had did not shift properly and when I told them upon our return, they didn't even care as they didn't ask any question as to what the issues were. They are located about 4 blocks from Central Park so we had to walk our bikes on the crowded sidewalks as too dangerous to ride on the road. For anyone looking to rent bikes to ride in Central Park, we would suggest renting from right at the entrance to Central Park. Their bikes look much newer and nicer. We would not suggest renting from this place.
Unfriendly staff, no air in the tire, saddle slips lower and lower.
