I love retro vixen because the staff is always really nice. They have the most awesome dresses, outfits and accessories for my beautiful wife. They carry a varied size selection including 2XS - 6XL. I always feel so welcome there, even if I haven't been there in a couple months. They also have the always covered parking. Plenty of spots in back off of Genesee street as well as out front. Thank you for being so great!!

I rarely post anything, but this was my best retail shopping experience ever. The sales ladies are amazing, and the clothes are super stylish. Huge array of sizes and cute purses, jewelry, and shoes. Reasonably prices. Very fun, friendly, LOCALLY OWNED shop.

It's hard to know what's the best part of shopping at Retro Vixen - is it the great selection of retro-inspired and pin-up fashion, the wide range of sizes, or the absolutely amazing service? Personally, I refuse to decide - I love it all!

This is my favorite place to shop in Kansas City. It's like if cheers was a store. The clothes are beautiful, and the people who work their are kind and friendly.

My daughter loves this dress shop. The women that run it are very friendly and helpful. They offer dresses in a variety of cute patterns. The fact that they have plus sizes is awesome. We loved the accessories: purses, hats, belts, sunglasses, pins, jewelry all to help complete your outfit. You should definitely check it out.

We were shopping for a special occasion dress when another shop referred us to retro vixen. My daughter and I are not shoppers and here we didn’t have to be! We explained what we were looking for and the ladies brought us 3 options. Jess stayed by our side while my daughter tried on each one and after we decided on the one, she gave us tips for shoes and accessories to purchase later that could dress it up or down. That’s my kind of shopping. I’ll be honest - I didn’t expect to find something modest. With vixen in the name I made a judgement. I was so very wrong. We left with a modest and flattering dress. My daughter commented on how beautiful she felt. Thank you Jess and Melissa for making my girl feel special for her special event. We’re not local but if we were, we’d be back. She even asked her brother to go get her a gift from there!

I visited here from out of town and was able to find exactly what I was looking for which was a simple, black cardigan to wear with a sleeveless dress for. I also found something I had never seen before; a paisley, 70's inspired long sleeve romper! Also got a pair of super cute sunglasses for only $10! Would definitely shop here again!

I wish I could give it a perfect rating! I went with 2 lady friends and we had a spectacular time. The owner bent over backwards to be helpful. A very happy memory. I only wish I wasn't 2 states away.
