Amazing food and drinks! The grilled octopus appetizer is phenomenal. I may have had the best whiskey sour I have ever had here. Owner came by multiple times to make sure we were well taken care of. Highly recommend. My favorite Adam's Morgan bar for sure!
Matteo is the hardest working person in DC, and it comes through at Retrobottega. The perfect place to enjoy a drink and small bites for a happy hour, or sit down for a full meal. Everything is delicious, but the braised short rib risotto is a must!

Extraordinary! Best Italian food I've had in D.C. - high quality. I've ordered it about 5 times on Uber Eats over the last 6 months. I'd highly recommend, even though food is a bit pricey.
Fantastic food aracini and cavatelli were stand outs and even better service! Generously heated patio. Central location. Couldn't ask for more!
