Richard Merkler, MD, FAAP

Dr. Merkel is absolutely wonderful. Through the past 8 years he has been there not only for my daughter, but also for me as a mother. He is very warm, patient, and very knowledgeable. I never met a more kind doctor, and I feel very lucky that my daughter has such a positive experience going to the doctor.

Dr. Merkler is extremely knowledgeable, patient, and understanding which has made first time motherhood so much easier. He’s always available for my random questions and last minute appointments and makes everything seem so much easier. I wouldn’t take my son anywhere else!

I’m very happy I visited Dr. Merkler, his knowledge and experience gave us a lot of peace of mind and it was the first time my son went to a pediatrician and didn’t cry!

Our first visit to Dr. Merkler’s office after months of research on a trusted & warm pediatrician for my children in the NYC area. We are very satisfied! My son even stated that Dr. Merkler reminds him of Mr. Fred Rogers! He comes off really meek and warm, which definitely gave me the fuzzies. The receptionist is pleasant and calm. The aesthetics of the clinic is organized and clean. Also, it’s quiet in the sense where yes, there were a lot children/visits but what more could be expected in a great pediatrics office.

We only giving 4 stars for the lack of changing table or space to dress up the smallest patients. Otherwise doctor is kind, professional and thorough.
