It's a mixed between a supermarket and a corner store. Convinient location, large selection but same lack of staple items and prices. Spruce street market is a direct competition. If you're around Rittenhouse square you may plan a visit for a quick and inexpensive lunch pickup.
A remarkably complete store given its relatively small size. I must also point out that complaints about high prices are completely unfounded for the majority of items. Indeed, I have found some that are below prices elsewhere including supermarkets and a few specialty stores. I have also found the staff extremely helpful. If I call to inquire about an item the staff will always offer to go look if they do not know offhand. I consider this store essential for many grocery needs.
This is NEW, charging the same price for skim vs. Whole Milk. There was always a price variation, now there is NO lower price for skim milk #Rosenbergers
Lovely small market in the Rittenhouse Square neighborhood. Don't be fooled by it's small size. This market has everthing you need and the chicken salad at the deli at the back of the store is to die for!!!
This store is great for everything. They have nice produce, well stocked frozen section, and most items you need for any reason. I really did not check the prices to close because I was so glad I did not have to walk four blocks to get my car, lose my parking spot and fight traffic to save a few pennies! The staff is very friendly and to have a nice market a block away is awesome! Give them a try!
Organic berries but not tomatoes, nor apples or peaches, nor vegetables. Some gourmet items like steel cut oats. Kelsey is great. Brandon not so much.
Expensive, almost all items are marked-up 20%? but I guess you pay for the convenience. They have sales so I think you're closer to actual prices when said item is on sale. They do have a good assortment of organic produce.
Great location, choice and layout. However some of the ladies at the checkout are very unfriendly. It feels like going to the DMV or Hope Depot: grunting and barely acknowledging you. Probably not going back despite the great products
Small, local grocery store with a wide variety of produce and other products. But at "Rittenhouse" prices. I typically just pop in when I need just a few items. But lately have been shopping here more, as the staff are friendly and helpful.
Prices are way too high for the quality of groceries they are selling. I always regret shopping there for the convenience. I didn't give it one star because the staff are really sweet and welcoming. I can't give it 3 stars because I am not "neutral" about my opinion. If you have the time, go to trader joes or giant.
